hi all,

My parents (who are green card holders) have been out of US for about more than a year now. They could not return within a year because of the pandemic and also personal health issues which extended their stay outside US.  They are both 65+.

They used to live with me in my  current US address. Now I am moving (few miles down the road).

How do I update AR-11 for my parents? I was their petitioner.

Please advise

The AR-11 is for changing their address inside the US.  Why not just change their addresses using the online AR-11?  You, as their sponsor, must complete and mail an I-865.  When do they plan to return to the US?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

They plan to move back after the pandemic has subsided - may be after few months from now. They will live with me in my new address after they come back. They plan to use the returning  resident visa (SB-1) when they come back.

Will it be problematic if their AR-11 is not updated from the old address to the new future address?

I plan to fill I-865 for me.
