Siblings take 15 - 20+ years to complete. You still have a long way to go. Your brother will not be in the US until close to 2030 depending on the country.

Most countries don't even allow people to petition siblings. So that is why the wait is so long because the US is one of the few countries in the world that allows it.

What country is your brother from?

8 years is a bt long but as long as it is in their system all is good.

Processing time for F4 sibling petitions at California Service Center is 111.5 Months to 145 Months https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

There is no need to rush these to approval as visas cannot be issued until the priority date is current anyway. For most countries, sibling visas are only available for a priority date of earlier than 22 Sept 2006 (longer for India, Mexico and Philippines). https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2021/visa-bulletin-for-december-2020.html The wait for this is so long as these visas are numerically limited to 65000 per year (including derivatives), but there are 2.2m people in line in this category.

And in fact not only is there no need to rush these to approval, but if there are minor children as derivatives it actually benefits the family as the longer processing time reduces the chances of the children aging out according to CSPA calculations.
