Hi

I am about to file my I-30 and adjustment of status packet (all forms/documents) in USA following marriage to my US spouse. I just wanted to double check with someone who knows or recently filed whether below is in order or a sum is missing? I will also prepare three different checks and attach all at the front of the application - hope that is ok, but let me know if you think that's wrong.

I-30 - $535

I-485 - $1,225

I-765 - $410

FYI I am not applying for Advance Parol Travel Document and the other forms I will be filing are (in addition to above): I-30A (no fee), I-864 (no fee apparently), I-944 (no fee) and G-1145 (no fee).

I am not sure about I-765 - is the sum of $410 correct if I'm applying under category (c)(9) and also I am applying for an initial EAD card? Also, there is reference in I-765 fee schedule about a biometric fee of $85. I'm not sure if I have to pay this?

Many thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Total sum is $1760.

I-765 is free.

I would suggest using a money order. I always suggest this for a very specific reason i.e there are many stories here of USCIS sometimes rejecting credit card withdrawals or maybe the card gets blocked. When that happens, USCIS sends your package back. Boom, you just lost a month.

Money order has $1000 limit. So get one for $1000 and another for $760

Advance parole is free and only 5 mins filling. With these COVID times, I would suggest you add it. You never know. Your interview might come 2 years from now.

I would highly suggest you put your I-693 now so that the IO does not have a reason to delay your case because you presented it at the interview.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I131 is also fee waived.  Really no reason not to apply as well
