Same happened to me.. my address was only updated for my i-360 case but not on the I-485 so I believe it's best to do both.. Apparently Vermont doesn't always update the local office.. sometimes they do sometimes they don't so I guess you should do both.. that's what I did!💁

well, I moved 3 times in the past 2 years, so I don't even know what address is on my I485 at NBC because I thought updating with Vermont works for both. I need to know what address does NBC has for me because AR-11 requires me to put old address...
So what to do in this situation ?

Thank you. I’ll try to obtain police clearance from my current state of residence since I no longer live in TX. It’s super strange that they’ve sent everything else to my bee address except this letter. Curious to know what the RFE is for. I sent two letters by mail explaining the situation and pleading that they resend. It’s been silence for 8 months. Mmmm

Usually if you submit your package for that long,  police clearance is what they ask to get your package approve, try to include everything you got with the police clearance. Good luck dear.

Did you update your address with USCIS all three times that you moved? If your answer is yes then you put your last address and then your most recent address for the update.. it's really quite simple!👍

I just didn’t really know there are different categories. I’m unemployed and have lots of time 🙈 I was reading this “Welcome to the United States - A Guide for New Immigrants” pdf last night and then I realized this SSN card situation.

My Real ID driving license is good for another 2 years. I don’t feel the rush for that one 🙈

Another question since we are chatting about these 😊...do you carry your Greencard with you all the time?

LOL I do not carry my green card with me at all except when it is requested, then I fish it out.. the green card was sacred to me the first three weeks of receiving it.. these days I just toss it anywhere pretty much... the novelty wore off!😛😀

Hello everyone, I submitted my VAWA application in November 2018.
Received my EAC by December 2018.
Renewed my EAC by December 2019.

By May 2020, I relocated to a different state before submitting a change of address through USCIS. I received an email notice that a notice was sent to my old address with 30 days to reply. I immediately contacted USCIS about the move and submitted a change of address form via mail. My new address has been updated but I never received that initial notice. I’ve sent two letters to USCIS asking them to resend that letter. It’s been almost 8 months waiting but I’ve received prema-facie and other letters sent to my new address. I even received a new EAC in December 2020 at my new address.

Wondering what the deal is with USCIS and why they didn’t resend that latter. I’m curious to know what it is.

Has anyone encountered this situation?

Receiving work permit, Advance parole and any other benefits doesn't mean your I-360 case it's moving forward?. those are different petitions... so what you want to do is ask your Congressman to get a copy of the notice because I-360 will not move forward until you respond- if that actually was an RFE.. you have to respond for it to move forward but then we do not know what it actually was?. so you need to find out first before you proceed? I wouldn't ask you to blindly send evidence because you don't know if it was an rfe that was sent or something else... you have to know for certain what they are asking for and send it because if you send any document blindly, your case will not move forward until you send in what they specifically asked! I hope I'm making sense..💁

It’s just the possibility of losing it and going through the process of requesting a new one 🙈 but I read that we must carry it with us everyday.

I believe your question to me was.. do I carry my green card every day? and then I told you I do not.. but if your question was should YOU carry Green Card everyday? I would probably tell you that that is what the law says or requires.. but for me I would not carry it everyday for the same reasons that you mentioned above!😏 I'm not ready to go through any tedious process.. my identification is with me at all times I do not need my green card for identification period!💁

Congrats!! Really happy for you!!
Did u have to go through interview? Also what location is this?

I went to my interview last 2019 when we ask the officer to hold for abeyance my I-485. The officer told me to do the interview then because it will benefit me in the future. So I did not do the 2nd interview once my I-360 got approved. Location is Chicago, IL.

Hello All,

I have a pressing issue right now. The thing is I filed for EAD renewal at the beginning of January, but I am expecting a rejection soon because I did not accompany the file with a fee or a fee waiver form. The fee was waived for me initially for the entire package (I-485 inclusive), so I was convinced that I would not need to include any fee for the EAD renewal. Curiosity, however, made me read posts here and there , and I realized I was wrong. Because USCIS notice of receipt or denial usually takes quite a long time, I am afraid I will miss the benefit of 180-day extension in the event that they return my file, and I cannot timely submit another one.

What can I do in this situation? File a new one with the appropriate fee before the rejection arrives or wait to see if file they will accept my form. Also, what is the filing fee?

NOTE:

My EAD renewal package includes, among other things, the pending I-485 and I-765 notices with the latter carrying a message of a fee waiver.
