@sandranj@Stillwinning!!!😊@Demise and other family members, I got response from congressman stating my  I-485 file isn't in the local office. It further states that since my I-485 was filled with I-130 originally, and as my I-130 was denied so most likely my I-485 was already denied too. in short, they aren't sure whether or not I-485 is pending? what should I do in such  a situation to know about the current status of i-485 . Interestingly, I 'm getting renewal of EAD cat 09 without any issue and free of cost ?  Please help me . Thanks

If you're getting EAD renewals, that means your I-485 is still pending your congressman is the one probably thinking that your I-485 is most likely denied...there's no way USCIS will be speculating.. USCIS is immigration they know if it's denied or not because they're the ones who deny or approve! When was your i360 approved again? It's possible that your I-485 isn't in the local office yet but will still go to the local office when USCIS is ready.. so many people had their i-130 denied but the I-485 still pending.. you asked for your I-485 to be held in abeyance right? USCIS should be able to give you that information through your congressperson.. you should specifically ask for that..( if it was held or not also if it is denied or not) You can also try to schedule an infopass. Even if your I-485 is denied you can always file a new one!👍

That is true when you filed concurrently, and I-130 was denied, you do not have a valid reason to adjust.  Just refile I-485.  Do you have receipt number for I-485?

@Stillwinning!!!😊 Please I need your precious knowledge. I’m applying I-360 but I’m not under the vawa category as i lost my husband. We sent my case to Vermont because that’s what my NOA  was stating but when I checked online again I realized that my Case is now at NBC. Is that normal ? They recently approved my combo card as well at  NBC

another question, my status says they mailed my card. But I don’t know my SSN yet. Do you guys think I can call SS and ask for my numbers ?

Okay I'm a little bit confused here I need a clear picture. When did you file I 360 ?did you file I-485? I can understand why I-485 will be transferred to NBC Vermont takes care of a I-360. To get SSN, you need to apply at your local office you don't call and ask for number also if they mailed your combo card you should be getting it in a few days looks like you're working with an attorney what is he saying?

I'm thrilled to see the approvals keep coming.

Surely more of y'all will get one as a Christmastime present.

(You don't need to celebrate the holiday to accept a present!) :)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Thank you so much for getting back to me. Here is my PD:

- May 2020 : I-485; I-765; I-131; I-360 filed

- June 2020: I-485 package rejected

- August 2020: NOA for I-485; I-765; I-131

-August 2020 : RFE I-360

-Nov 2020: RFE I-360 received by USCIS

- Nov 2020: appointment letters for biometrics and took

- Dec 2020: expedite request for I-765; I-131

- December 23/ 2020: card mailed.

- Dec 2020: I-485 ready to schedule

When I checked my status online it says My I-360 Is at NBC currently. I haven’t ask the question to my attorney yet. For my SSN I requested to receive both at the same time ans I read somewhere here on VJ that one called SSN  and they were able to give the person the number prior him receiving the actual card.

That's weird.. I do know that I-360 is processed in Vermont. Again for the SSN you have to apply at your local office you show them your EAD. If you would like to expand your resources you will do well to contact your congressperson I'm sure they'll be able to get some answers for you in case your attorney is not on top of things!👍

I am in a similar situation.
My I485 is in "Ready to be Scheduled" status for 1.5 years now, but it was never transfered to a local office. I485 app is currently at NBC as well, receipt date is around 01OCT2018. Also, FYI I moved 2 times in the last 2 years, so maybe this somehow affect the process of I485 and they keep it at NBC.
I360 still pending with Vermont currently, receipt date 23APR2019. I think they work together and they know that you have pending I360, so there is no point to transfer your I485 to local office to create more problems/workload/delays for the future.
