My friend her husband been abusing her mentally and emotionally really bad so she been going to the therapy for a while almost a year now I told her about vawa and he went to a lawyer and the lawyer told her self statement about the abuser and what been going through and she has a therapy statement, 

 

the lawyer that is enough evidence and you can leave your husband, 

 

she just scared to leave him because she scared those evidence won’t be enough

ok, so here is the plan. 

 

she needs to gather as much material as she can and leave. she can take pictures of things if she cannot remove documents from the place. 

 

What is her situation at the moment? did she apply 485? is she did, she can ask her lawyer for a copy of the packet that will have a lot of substantial documents she needs. I would put in that request say tomorrow, go to pick up the file and not return home but go to a safe place.

He did not file anything for her he just isolated her most of the time and some of us wrote a letter for her he been isolated her and been abusing her mentally and emotionally and been going with many girls and got full control of her

you know what, she should leave. there are ways to get the info she needs to prove the various requirements. her husband is LPR or Citizen?

He is citizen and she can prove that true marriage but the abuse evidence only therapy and Friends letters and self statement? Should we go with that ? And with the lawyer or those might be not enough

yes, I also only had those proofs of abuse. 

 

that self statement and the psych report has to be good though.

 

get her out, we will get through this.

 

read all the threads from #10 and on, I did that and it was the best thing I did for my case.

I went for info pass on Now 18 to update my mailing address

The officer said she will only update i 485 because i360 has been approved.

I got C13 EAd before going for the appointment, No approval notice received yet

case status still shows that my card was returned because it could not be delivered.

I was worried because I did not receive approval notice.

 

Strangely I got four letters from Vermont stating case was received at my physical address today.  😪

Even though I gave the office at info pass my mailing address

also showed her 2 letter sent to Vermont to update my safe address to my mailing address. (PObox)

I don't know how she needed up using the address on my ID.

 I  read my PO box address back to her twice and she confirmed it.

 

I am just so frustrated about this address issue, it has been dragging since July.

 

Any address please, do I need to do any thing at this  point?

Well... I can’t tell you that, no one can. 
 You and your friend need to get to work on this. Read all the threads here. When I found myself in my situation, I was really depressed but I got to work. Read and research and give it all of you.

Hey vj family, how many PF in total does uscis give before the decision is made? I received a second PF of 6 months and it states that the next PF will be of 60 days, and the next will be of how many days?

You gonna keep getting it till your I-360 is approve,  am a August 2019 filer and I never get prima facie, Uscis process every case differently. Congrats on your second PF.

It varies by whom is issuing the PF.  I received only 3 and they were 6 months each.  I did not receive anything else, and my VAWA was not approved until 6 months after the third one expired.

Hey there. Yes, it does sound weird to me. If it was me I would either contact USCIS through my local congressman to confirm change of address for all the forms, or just do another info pass appointment to be sure.
