Hi Friends,

I’m wondering if anyone has the same timelines as I have regarding my I-751 case: WAC California Center, applied for I-751 abuse waiver in April 2019, in November 2019 had biometrics and since then no movement on the case.
Yesterday I mailed a letter to a Congressman asking for help with inquiring regarding my case...

I-751 is taking up to two years to process.

WAC Processing Times -

17 Months to 23 Months
Removal of lawful permanent resident conditions (spouses of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents)
January 18, 2019

Phase I - IV - Completed the Immigration Journey

Hi guys, I am new here so will share my timeline first;

I am including only VAWA package, nothing before that regarding my marriage.

July 2019 Filled i360, i485, i765 (all together)

Oct 2019- Got my first EAD card

Oct 2019- RFE (International Fingerprints/ Clear criminal background abroad)

Nov 2020- Prima Facie Determination Benefits letter

Dec 2020- RFE for i360( Still waiting to get it)

Currently in the 18th month.

I am so grateful because with the Prima Facie I can apply for financial aid at college.

This RFE are so random, and i dont understand why it could not be included as the application req?

IF anyone has any other recommendation for benefits that I can apply for, please let me know.

Thank you

M August 2019. Waiting eagerly to hear something back from them. I got RFE in December 2019 after that complete silence till now.No EAD either cuz my lawyer did c31😔😔

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a few weird updates on my case.

January 2020 -- VAWA approved. Since I still had my entire marriage case package pending after VAWA approval they sent my documents to NYC (where the marriage case was registered) instead of Houston (where I actually live). 9.5 months later my case was finally in Houston.

August 2020 - applied for C31 EAD renewal. Currently I have both C31 EAD and C09. And today I got a case update on my old C09 renewal application from a year ago for the card that is about to expire that they updated my fingerprint info and it's in the initial review. And it's wrong receipt and not even the category I applied for. Very curious to see what's going to happen next... Pretty much prepared for anything. Maybe they will print me a GC by mistake? Lol

Good evening guys

Just want to share my happiness.

I started my vawa journey on Oct of 2018.

They issued an RFE this year for good moral character and good faith marriage.  I was approved last aug 2020.

Had my AOS interview last Nov 18 of this year.

They just asked me basic demographic data and yes or no questions. It only lasted 15 mins. Ended up with my case being reviewed. Since I left in that room Im anxious to know what the result is.

Im obsessing with refreshing the web browser in my phone to uscis check status.

Today i Got this.

Thank you so much for all the help and suggestions.  This forum is truly God send.

Excited for this new chapter in my life.

My journey just started. Package was sent last month and now waiting for my I-360 receipt.

Did you get prima facie or EAD? We never know in which order USCIS is looking at our cases. Some people here waiting from 2018 as well and we have also seen approvals from july 2019. Only they know what they doing we only can wait. 😔

In  mid September, I have sent my EAD for renewal but nothing so far. Recently we have seen a lot of I-485 approval, I think they’re focusing on those  once much  more . I never got prima facie.

hello everybody

i want to ask you question guys since i filled my I360 i don't receive any reciets from USCIS they sent all mails to my lawyer

when i asked my lawyer about it he told me USCIS dont sent mails to VAWA victims to keep the information in secret

i want to knew if that true ?

thanks

You lawyer is lying to you. Uscis won't send you correspondences directly yes, they send it to your lawyer only. My lawyer forwards all the uscis correspondences to me via email, you are the applicant and you need to know everything about your case. Vawa petition can filed using their private address and uscis will still send letters to that address you will give them. But the abuser is not allowed to get info about your case at all even if the abuser hires a lawyer

You can file  for a new EAD under C09  category now , it’s free.
