Hi, Family!!!

Hope everyone is warm and healthy😘

I have a dilemma and did not find anything useful online.

My AP is outside of normal processing times and EAD is months away according to their new estimate. Should I inquire about AP to nudge the case or I will risk just getting just the AP, not the combo card? Which form is corresponding to the combo card AD or EAD?

Some relevant details:

7/24/2020 Initial filing I-360, I-485, I-765 and I-131. VSC, local Philly

11/30/2020 Biometrics for I-465 and I-765 only. No mention of I-131 which is still at case received online.

1/13/2021 lawyer tried to expedite EAD/AP

2/11/2021 USCIS replied that the case will be processed as normal. I have a feeling that he did not include any evidence (I might be wrong) and it's not relevant any more so there is no need to fight with him or resubmit.

Don't want to poke the lion but it's been 7 months since filing and to think that I might need another 4 for the initial EAD is making me want to cry. Still, my case was pulled once in January and I don't want to make things worse.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

best wishes to you

You will get there

My beloved family :)

Finally great news, life changing news arrived this beautiful divine morning, it seems my I-485 been approved now as it says "New card is being produced." It's indeed kind of miracle as it came through without interview, I can't explain my happiness in words being forever grateful to almighty GOD 🙏🙏🙏

And immensely grateful to @sandranj and entire VAWA family for giving me hope and making me stronger ever through this absolutely difficult and impossible journey to fix my broken life🙏

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share my journey.

I filed my paperwork in  Dec 2018

prima facia given in Feb 2019

work permit issued June 2019

Approved in 360 Vermont March/April 2020

work permit issued March 2020

additional work permit issued June 2020

485 sent to Local office September 2020

appointment issued December 2020

Approval for Green Card December 2020 AT THE APPOINTMENT!!!

My attorney went with me to the appointment at USCIS everything was done virtually. The person assigned to my case asked routine questions, then asked for us to put our medical forms in the packet provided. 2 minutes later he came into the room to personally tell us that I had a green card! By the second week of January I had my card.

I know my situation was not normal, but you know what... we got this! I’m now struggling to find my purpose, but I really felt like someone needed this. Your time is next!!

love you all💕

Congratulations

You timeline is amazing

Here is my timeline

I need some advice please.  Here is my timeline so far

2nd EAD received July 2019

Ugh a stressful point,  I was devastated but I overcame.  I submitted RFE.

RFE sumbitted

VAWA Approved March 2020

Received new EAD C31 March 2020

Received I 485 receipt notice case transferred March 2020

Request for Applicant to appear for Interview  September 2020

This is the concern the interview was schedule in Santa Ana, CA and I live in Atlanta GA so I was unable to attend the interview.  This was received late during the COVID and my paperwork was assigned to GA field office where I should have had my interview but somehow went to Santa Ana, CA.  I have not heard anything since what do I do? I was told that my file was sent back to California and that when they receive it they will reschedule my interview.  Is this correct how was an appointment needed to be made to reschedule? @sandranj I need help on this please?  Please advise.

Thank you!

Any thoughts how I should handle this please?

My EAD expires March 2021.  I submitted the renewal and got the receipt notice 180 day extension on 1/21 but have not received the card yet

Thank you very much for the timeline you provided

Congratulations !!!!!

Good afternoon. My friend’s work permit, based on pending I-485 not approved I-360, was approved today. When should they expect it in the mail? Would it be a good idea for them to start scheduling job interviews 2 weeks from today? They haven’t worked in years and are want to get started as soon as possible.
Also, very happy for all the approvals I seen so far! Still waiting for my I-360, filed Feb. 2018.

I believe anywhere from a week to two weeks you should expect the card in the mail, mine was just mail today from new card is being produced on 02-24-2021 which is less than a week, so hopefully I should be able to have it in hand on this coming Wednesday

You can schedule job interviews tomorrow if you want. It takes a while for things to roll, for HR to kick in with stuff, perhaps you will have multiple rounds of interviews, lots of interviews but limited results from them (extremely common, do nothing be discouraged)

what field are you gonna try in? Just curious

Hi everyone,

Please I need your guidance. My I-485 interview was scheduled in Jan '21, but was later canceled and rescheduled. The USCIS subsequently sent a notice stating that my interview will now be on the 19th of March. The issue is, I am in the process of filing the VAWA application and I will not be able to put in my application before the 19th because I am still gathering evidence. What should I do in this case? Should I go for the interview? How can I convince my Case Manager to pend my I-485 application while I file the VAWA?  What document can I present to my Case Manager to help my situation? Do I need to go with a lawyer to help plead my case? I am going out of my mind trying to figure out what to do..

They’re going to try in retail, they’ve never had a job in America before.

In this case you don’t have much time to get a I-360 receipt which can help you convince the officer to put your I-485 on hold, but you can write a letter to let them postpone your marriage  interview, that way you will have enough time to get your vawa receipt, you don’t have to wait until you get all the evidence that you need to file your vawa, they will send you RFE if they need more evidence, so file it now
