Hello Family!

Hope everyone is healthy and keeping warm !

Anyone has any idea on how long is the wait for an interview in NJ as a whole and/or  Newark field office in particular?

My I360 was approved 11/20 and I got the medical courtesy letter end of January 2021. This means that Vermont sent my file to NBC and NBC did a check on it before forwarding to local field office? How can we tell when our file is at the local office?

Yes, in April 2020 my VAWA got approved and received C31 EAD, so within a year my I-485 approved.

С09 is free and I know quite a few ppl here got it after VAWA approval. C31 is $410.However, there's a chance your C09 will get denied, because you're technically supposed to apply for C31 after VAWA approval. I personally chose to pay and apply for C31 to be sure I don't break the continuity of my employment.

True,I applied last wk. hopefully it’s quicker this time

I had my interview on February 18th, last Thursday and still didn't get any updates about my case being approved.. Does anyone know why my case status wasn't updated right away? I am happy about my interview, but this endless wait is just killing me :(

Info pass

Yesterday I whent to my appointment with uscis because I had my vawa approved on July and since then no news

The officer was not familiar with holding i485 applications.

Well, luckily his supervisor came and engaged to our conversation

She told me , ok I see your app is open, I will request to send me your application, when i receive your app i will send to schedule department, I just don't know how long it will take, you will receive a letter in the mail.

Well I think the appointment was good

Does anyone know or had the same experience??!!

I'm very anxious🙏

Yes to "This means..." question. Usually they forward it soon after you get courtesy letter, although some offices reported that cases will be held at NBC until local office interview slot will be available. Many ppl don't get any online updates, so check with congressman so see which office it's in.

Sounds like a very good sign. I went to an appointment in Oct/Nov to ask to transfer my case from NYC where it was by mistake to Houston. Officer said they are trying to get rid of old cases 1st, so since my filing date was Dec 2017 my case was "old". It arrived to my office in Nov and in Dec I received a interview letter for January.

Was December 19 the date of the approval notice or it was updated on December 19 on the uscis website and then the approval letter was mailed ? I'm also NYC, still waiting

December 31, 2019 is when they sent me C31 EAD and approval notice Feb. 2020 But my deferred action document it shows my Vawa was approved Dec. 2019 same date my EAD c31 was issue.

LOL!!!!  Thanks - it is petition to file for your children after VAWA approved to come live in the US.  You do not need an I-130 if you file I-824.
