I found that out through my congresswoman.

The white paper says that the case is held for a review, but my officer told me that everything looks good and that I will receive decision in the mail.

You should get an update anytime now.. a supervisor will give the 'ok' and you will see the update.. stay alert!😊👍

Great, thank you for the info!

Did you also get that piece of paper? How long after your interview did you see the update online?

Re-submit the evidences you have and add affidavits from friends family and landlord affirming you lived with your spouse!👍

I have never been in this situation, but you can send them some pictures that show both of you in house or apartment, and get some letters from friends and families.

Does ombudsman help more than congressman does? Which person would you get better help from?

Ombudsman is usually used as a final or last resort.. you are supposed to have exhausted all other resources before using the ombudsman so yeah they are very helpful if everything else fails!😊👍

I’m trying to expedite my EAD, but seems like nothing works. My attorney sent VSC a letter with request to expedite on February 1, nothing yet: no response from them, no update on case status, literally nothing. Do you think it’s just takes for them long to open that mail they received on February 2?
Since it has been two weeks already since we submitted that request to VSC, I decided to contact congressman and ombudsman, but I just did it two days ago. I don’t know how long it normally should take before you hear something from someone

Two weeks is too soon in my opinion/experience and may I ask on what basis you're trying to expedite and did you include the supporting documents alongside the petition?

Yes, financial loss and medical emergency. I’m 38 weeks pregnant and I have my health insurance through my employer. I would lose my job as well as health insurance if my EAD don’t come on time. Then I wouldn’t be able to pay for my medical expenses. I submitted recommendation letter from employer, notice from doctor and copy of health insurance card which shows it was obtained through employment.
Do you think it’s a good reason to expedite?
I’m already waiting 7 months. Filed in July 2020

I think anything that has your address and both of your names should be good for it. In addition to the docs you decsribed, I also sent copies of letters/ cards sent to us with both our names and the same address
