Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing great. So I have an issue and I’m freaking out.

I first received a RFE back in October and I my uscis account stated that they sent me a new Request for additional evidence today. Should I worry? Is it a bad sign ?

thank you so much in advance.

So I have a question once you got your green card how you can remove the conditions on your social security since it’s written subject to work with DHS approval and further to remove conditions on your drivers license since it’s written limited term

You need to visit SSA office with your two or ten years  GC, they will remove right away, for DL, just go to DMV with your GC and is done

RFE is not a bad sign, usually it makes your case run faster, I say it’s a good sign

Hello everyone,

I have a question my i360 got approved in January 2020,waiting for interview NYC (no updates on i485) , also back in August I filed i131 for AP and got approved in November 2020, so I got my approval letter ,but no AP and then in December 2020status for AP petition changed to "correspondence was received and uscis is reviewing it". @sandranj do you what it means ? why uscis never sent AP, but changed to this status (nothing additional was sent to uscis)

Thank you in advance

I wouldn’t worry about that. Answer the RFE and you will get approved soon.

Hello Guys, Finally I have an update on my case from NYC, Today my attorney received a notice from Local Office Federal Plaza requesting to mail them my new medical form. This gives me so much hope that I will not be interview, since is the local office requesting medical form and not NBC, otherwise they will just sent me interview date and ask me to bring new medical form with me. Anyone have this experience on local office directly asking for medical and did they received interview after? or Green card was mail without an interview after receiving medical form? Thank you guys.

VAWA Filed 06/2018 approved 12/2019

I-485 filed 10/2017 Put on hold at interview 05/2019

I-693 Requested from local office 02/8/2021.

Happy for you. Keep us posted.

Hello dear, new member here I just sign up so that I could answer your question. There are Lovely ladies on this forum. Thanks for the uplifting work you all do.

For financial aid my dear yes the Prima Facie makes you eligible. For starters you need to file a fafsa form on the Department of Education. Once you answer the question about citizenship select "NO, BUT I AM AN ELIGIBLE NONCITIZEN". Your application will be processed and the DOE will verify your status with USCIS. Don't worry if they say you are not an eligible non citizen. The school you selected on your application will contact you before they finalize your aid package and then you can submit your Prima Facie letter. I say go ahead and apply for financial aid. Plus you get refunded whatever money is left from the aid.

Is financial aid something that you need to pay back later? Is it the same like student loan?
