Nope... uscis does not care. I read an article a few months ago, height of the pandemic in NYC and they denied a green card to a high profile MD/infectious disease specialist super qualified and on the frontlines

so if you have your EAD, just keep working. Be proactive with your case but don’t expect any special treatment just because you are essential worker

PS I am a RN, working 6 days a week, 10+ hrs a day, so yea, I know it sucks but the truth is they clapped for us in the starting but that is about it for the special treatment. I have been yelled at by total strangers, horrible things, while I am commuting in scrubs... unless that counts as “special”

I def don’t expect any special treatment, the question that I was trying to ask can the USCIS deny or be prejudiced thirds me and my case when I req h out to them regarding a status update and possibly asking them to finally  schedule my case for a interview date? The reason why I’m asking is that I just need an answer if I will be allowed to stay if I will have a future and a normal life?

Yep, I know! I definitely did not mean to imply that you were expecting special treatment, apologies if it came across that way.

however, it does brings more to the table does it not?

regarding if your questioning will tick off or annoy anyone... well it should not, legally speaking but humans are complex balls of emotions, prejudice, morals etc etc so who is to say 🤷🏻‍♀️

There are millions of DREAMERS who have spent their lifetime here and this is home and this is a question they all have been mulling over for years...

you have your EAD, you can work- save money, get the skills and experience to succeed here and anywhere, grit should have been developed somewhat by now too... just be determined not to give up and make the best of anything and everything 🤗

Gee! That’s a looonnggg time! Did you ask for help again for this year? Maybe you should try senator or ombudsman? I did ask AOC for help for my EAD on 2019. Her office responded a week after and then they got a reply from USCIS a month after and then I think following weeks I got an EAD

Hi yes I did ask for help again I contacted the Ombudsman 2 weeks ago no replay and the lastest reply from the Congresswoman is of January 13 2021, my case is waiting to be scheduled for an interview

My working permit  and Advance parole will Expire end  March and wonder should I wait or renew it

Everytime I renew it I pay $500

And I got laid off December

I 360 been approved since September 2018 🥺

hi, I know that after vawa gets approved, my case gets transferred to my local office. After vawa approval, when I check case processing times for I-485 for my local office, does the processing time given there start when the case arrives at the local office AFTER vawa approval?, OR when I FIRST submitted my case? I submitted altogether (I-485, I-131, I-360), and my ex spouse is a citizen. thank you

The processing time starts when the local office receives your case .

If you should ask  your congressperson to inquire the  USCIS on your behalf regarding the l131.

Good evening VJ family do you think it is wise to ask the USCIS about the status of your AOS interview and to ask them to ask the USCIS to schedule you for an interview based on a job offer for essential workers. Im just wondering if i should ask my congressman to reach out to them and get an update, im afraid that if he reaches out to them they can say ooooo let denial  him because of me reaching out to them or something.

You should not ask USCIS to set up your interview because there is no legal provision for such request . You can ask the congressperson to inquire on your behalf if your WORK PERMIT is outside normal processing time .

Is the RFE for medical I693 sign that interview is waived?

For my approved I-360m they send me the letter where they said " we need medical I-693 as RFE before we made final decision on your case for your I-485"

Usually they say to bring to the interview with you.

But if they send RFE for that, means no interview or still could be interview??

Anybody knows?

Thank you

They might waive the interview , but I saw cases they asked to submit the l693 and they set up the interview .

Hello Sandra! Would they take into consideration the fact that are you being separated from your first husband for so many years?

Like In my case: not with my husband since 2016. Waiting form my vawa approval since 2018. This law seems so mean. 😑😭

They will take into consideration what the Law states, and I explained what the Law states.

There is a small possibility they might approve his green card . If you don’t have the documents I mentioned before then you should  take into consideration the possibility that they can deny his AOS.

We need more approvals, so here is another joke:

SQUIRRELS IN THE CHURCH

The Presbyterian church called a meeting to decide what to do about their squirrel infestation.  After much prayer and consideration, they concluded that the squirrels were predestined to be there, and that they should not interfere with God's will.

At the Baptist church, the squirrels had taken an interest in the baptistry.  The deacons met and decided to put a water-slide in the baptistry and let the squirrels drown themselves.  The squirrels liked the slide and, unfortunately, knew instinctively how to swim, so twice as many squirrels showed up the next week.

The Lutheran church decided that they were not in a position to harm any of God's creatures, so they humanely trapped their squirrels and set them free near the Baptist church.  Two weeks later, the squirrels were back when the Baptists took down their water-slide.

The Episcopalians tried a much more unique path.  They set out pans of whiskey around their church in an effort to kill the squirrels with alcohol poisoning.  They sadly learned how much damage a band of drunk squirrels can do.

But the Catholic church came up with an even more creative strategy -- they baptized all the squirrels and made them members of the church.  Now they see them only at Christmas and Easter.

Not much was heard from the Jewish synagogue.  They took the first squirrel and circumcised him.  They haven't seen a squirrel since.

Man I am laughing here hahahaha
