Is the RFE for medical I693 sign that interview is waived?

For my approved I-360m they send me the letter where they said " we need medical I-693 as RFE before we made final decision on your case for your I-485"

Usually they say to bring to the interview with you.

But if they send RFE for that, means no interview or still could be interview??

Anybody knows?

Thank you

Most of the time when they ask for the medicals, (for you to send it in) they probably do not need you to come in for the interview.. but when they ask you to bring it with you, that means you going to have to come for the interview! So there's a possibility that you may not be attending an interview!😊👍

hey everyone.

my Vawa was approved in August 2020, NYC

i485 is pending since 2017 (no updates)

and yesterday the status of i360 changed to "Correspondence was received by USCIS and being reviewed", but there was no RFE or any request for them for any correspondence.

Does anyone know what it can be? The Vawa petition is approved since August,2020. I am kind of worried

I was told You can access your 401k from overseas as well.
speak to a financial advisor 👍🏼

Good evening VJ family do you think it is wise to ask the USCIS about the status of your AOS interview and to ask them to ask the USCIS to schedule you for an interview based on a job offer for essential workers. Im just wondering if i should ask my congressman to reach out to them and get an update, im afraid that if he reaches out to them they can say ooooo let denial  him because of me reaching out to them or something.

Nope... uscis does not care. I read an article a few months ago, height of the pandemic in NYC and they denied a green card to a high profile MD/infectious disease specialist super qualified and on the frontlines

so if you have your EAD, just keep working. Be proactive with your case but don’t expect any special treatment just because you are essential worker

PS I am a RN, working 6 days a week, 10+ hrs a day, so yea, I know it sucks but the truth is they clapped for us in the starting but that is about it for the special treatment. I have been yelled at by total strangers, horrible things, while I am commuting in scrubs... unless that counts as “special”

Guys, I got my I693 deficiency notice. What should I expect the timeline to be next? What should I start preparing?

I was thinking making an appoint for medical a in mid-late March just in case, thoughts?

I can afford to redo them if they expire, I am upto date with my vaccinations, lab can offer discount for self pay.

In NYC it's usually 10-24 months wait for the interview from what I've seen on this forum. There are people from Queens waiting for 2.5 years, although there was also a person who got their interview after 4 months or so. Since you already have you vaccines (including flu when the time comes) I'd say there's no need for you to do anything but wait. Medicals take 2-5 days to get and expire after 60 days if not used.

Hey, I got mine too last July 2020 but I didn’t do anything bec it clearly stated in the notice to wait. It’s either asking me to send them my medicals or going to the interview with it. Waiting game, I’m running out of patience 😩. Are you In NYC too? When did you file?

And nothing yet either Seems like NYC is playing with people emotions 😂

For the past year I keep getting the same reply

From congresswoman help

Waiting for an interview when date available we will notify you.

Gee! That’s a looonnggg time! Did you ask for help again for this year? Maybe you should try senator or ombudsman? I did ask AOC for help for my EAD on 2019. Her office responded a week after and then they got a reply from USCIS a month after and then I think following weeks I got an EAD
