when you change your address online after VAWA approval, do you get anything from USCIS, like a notification or something?
my congresswoman said that they noted the address change and will send me date of the interview when it gets available, although I'm still being paranoid about it, as I see how messy they are with the updates and not mailing notices. I also have USPS forwarding my mail from my previous apartment.

You don't get anything from them and yes they are famous for being messy!👍

She can't sponsor a new spouse until at least 5 years passed since she gained residence, It's the Law, and the  law was enacted in 1990.

She can try to sponsor him but if USCIS denies the AOS he will be removed from the U.S.  She can  overcome the 5 years rule if she can prove that se had  ALL the documents mentioned below with her  FIRST  husband.

Documentation showing joint ownership of property

Joint lease or documentation showing a common residence

Documentation showing commingling of financial resources

Birth certificates of any children born of the marriage

Affidavits of third parties having personal knowledge of the marriage who can attest to the genuine nature of the couple’s relationship.

I’m confused here. Is this rule for VAWA based GC holders or for those that got their GC via marriage and later divorced?

THank you so much for the suggestion . Yea . I was also thinking about that if there is any way to bypass it . It won't hurt to apply another one and to wait for a year . I am gonna come up with bunch of questions very soon . :D

You are welcome! I also wanted to suggest that you speak with a lawyer for the best way forward. Immigration law is so complex, so a consultation with a good, compassionate lawyer can be helpful. And like you said be informed so you can ask the right questions

Had a few thoughts today. If the group here can help out, would appreciate:

I had a typo error on my i360 affidavit  and 1 typo on the 485 + didn't mention 1 traffic ticket in the citation question (had no idea this would change the answer). My lawyer said we can fix at the interview.

1. In the case that someone gets approved without an interview, how do you fix such things?

2. For the i-485 interview, is it true that they shouldn't ask you about i-360, so should that be discussed because i-360 is already approved?

Even after two days of having your green card, you can remarry

Hi, all I had my green card interview on the 25th Jan and was approved. So this is how it was. First I should advice everyone to be on the lookout for their mails as my online status never changed from june 2018. I got my interview letter on the 19th of jan and only had 4 days that includes the Saturday (23rd) to do my medicals and God knows how terrified and anxious I was. I only paid $178 (NJ) for my physicals as for the vaccines I used my previous shots ( that I did when I had the ( I-130)as proof that I had the vaccines I only had to do the flu shot and blood work to show  my immunity. Luckily again my results were out the next day. Well on the the 25th I went to my interview waited about 56 min to be called in ( I was so nervous kept checking the time,) Finally Am called in. The IO swore me Questions

1. what’s your full name

2. Date of birth

3. whats you’re address

4. About 6 yes/no questions

5. Asked if I have Kids...said Yes 1 IO congratulations

6. Are you still married to this guy. Yes...IO get a divorce from that guy and move on

IO then excuses himself goes to another office I over hear him speak to someone else... am like Oh my God now what... He comes back and asks is this a safe address to send your documents I said yes Sir, then he says well we’re good here if you here from me within a week then it’s not good if you don’t expect a green card in 2 weeks. He says he will look at my file in the afternoon I said thank you he walked me out. I go home and boom you’re APPROVED. Got an email no text updates. That was on Monday then Friday I got my approval letter now waiting for the card.
I could swear it me less than 8min in there it was so fast. I wish everyone nothing but the best and God’s blessings. My file date was May 2018 , No prima facie, I-360  Approval Oct 7th 2020, interview 25th Jan 2021. One RFE , GMC, and proof of abuse.... my only evidence was my written statement and two from friends nothing else, and see what God did. With God everything is possible have faith stay strong.

Congratulations 🎉🍾

Let's look at it this way if you're approved without an interview it means there's really no problem! People are generally more concerned about crimes of moral turpitude.. you really shouldn't worry too much about a citation for traffic and for your second question the officer is not supposed to discuss the i360 which has already been adjudicated and approved but some of them just get overzealous you can choose to go through it with them or politely decline!👍
