Has anyone sent additional documents to USCIS? I am contemplating sending additional 6 months worth of therapy (PTSD treatment) + 1 additional month of another therapist, divorce documents (once I receive the final judgement), and tax documents. I filed Sept. 2020.

Please let me know.

USCIS allows petitioners to send in evidence anytime before final adjudication of the case so yes ma'am go ahead!😊👍

Hi guys. I have a question if anybody can answer. My 360 was approved on Sep 2020 but I'm still waiting for my green card or interview.

Last time I tried to change my drivers license to another state but I couldn't change it.
because a lady at the dmv checked my prove of address mails from Amazon, they told mails from Amazon is good to prove the address,

checked my EAD and typed something on her computer and told that she can't change my license today because she couldn't find my EAD on their system.
After that she said, now she needs to send a letter to immigration office asking is this EAD is real or not, or I don't know some kind of letter. And then she said in 2-3 weeks I will receive a mail from immigration office. After that I can come with that mail and change my drivers license.

But my real address is in my previous state and my vawa case is also in my previous state.
I just wanted to change my license to another state because I have some moving violation tickets on my license. And my traffic lawyer suggested me to change it to the different state to prevent suspension.
Now I start to worry about the letter that dmv lady sent to immigration office.
What do you think is it gonna effect my vawa case badly?
Is it normal to change drivers license to another state when your case is ongoing in the previous state?

Hey, so I just went to my i485 interview today but, due the snowstorm in NYC USCIS was closed and they will reschedule and send me a new interview date.  At least I can do my new medicals this week and bring it with me.

I also made an inquiry today with my Congresswoman to follow up with my new interview date.

God just gave you a chance to mitigate the delay the RFE would have brought you before it happened! Wish you all the best John!😊👍

Hello every one, I am new here. Great forum, I wish I new about this before. I would like to share my VAWA journey with

you all and ask questions when needed. Also help others when I can 🙂

I filed all my case my self. It took me 6 month to organize every thing. Here is my case

September 17/2020= I360, I485,I765,I912,I731 (case was received fees were waived )

September 27/2020=I got the receipts

November 26/2020= Prima facie determination

I made a mistake on I765 and put a c31 eligibility category

On January 7/2021= filed for new I912 and I765 with C09 category

 January 14/2021=receipt of I765 category C09

January 24/2021= ASC appointment notice for finger print. Scheduled for 2/17/2021

So far the case is going well. From this family I learned this journey is a waiting game 🙂

On another note, with the prima facie, I was approved for financial aid. which I am so grateful for!

I am currently waiting to here back from the collage if they will allow in state tuition rate with my status. I know each State has there own laws on

residency/domicile determination but I would love to here from anyone who had same experience. Excuse my writing, ESL level 4 😁😁😁

Have a great day!

Hi,

I just received the letter of my I-485 denial . I am sharing the screenshots orderly . Also attached the whole denial letter including all the pages in pdf as attachment . Please give me suggestion as I have to do do something sooner within 30 days .

Note: The main issue is I have been in F1 visa til now. Never used EAD card from I-485 or vawa . I have been using  EAD for F1 too. Also I traveled with my f1 visa . I was actually scared to be in unlawful status .

I really don't know what to do . It has been giving me anxiety since I received the notification . I couldn't even sleep properly since then . Please help me what should I do in this situation.

Hello it's unfortunate that this has to happen! Obviously your I-485 wasn't linked to your i360 because VAWA petitioners are forgiven so many things.. are you disputing anything the officer has said? If your answer is no, then they are all valid grounds for termination of the petition..they might take it further- NTA... start the proceedings.... This sucks but you're able to file a new petition this time based on an approved i360.. you're going to need legal advice from here... VJ stands with you!❤

Does anyone know whether moving from state to state affects VAWA timeline? Since we sent it all to Vermont. Mine hasn't been approved yet.

I do not think it affects the processing time while VAWA is pending.

Omg this is such a "technicality" to issue a denial over... I am so sorry you have to go through all this stress. I personally think there's only a handful of people on this forum with legal background that could give you good advice on this. If it was me I would hire a good lawyer ASAP. Even if it means you need to get in debt. Unless of course you're comfortable with the idea of leaving the US after you finish your education.

THank you for the response .I am not sure about dispute . I don't know if my situation is alright for filing  I-290 (B). All I know is I maintained the lawful status staying in USA to avoid trouble. I didn't think about staying in immigrant status . So looks like only because of my travel I encountered this issue . So if I have to refile the I-485 , I have to wait another year and half that's what I can see .

I think by refiling I-485 as an approved I-360 petition  will solve your problem . It may delay the AOS but by no means you are debarred permanently.

Retain services of a good and knowledgable attorney too.
