Hello Good people!

Our interview is tomorrow! me and my daughter (12 y.o). Please pray for positive outcome for us! Also, as I reviewed my I485 application I submitted  before there is a question I mistakenly answered "yes" instead of no. Can I point that out to them during the interview? Thank you all in advance for your prayers!

Everything will be ok! 🙌🏻
I think that you can correct the answer when they go to the yes, no question. Just explain that you made a mistake when filling out the form!

Yes, you absolutely can correct misinformation then.  It's best to bring it up early.  Example: "I inadvertently answered a question wrong; shall we wait till we come to it, or would you like to know which one now?"

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Best to write down changes on a piece of paper and present to IO before the interview starts.
I had a couple of mistakes too and made sure I wrote/typed them and showed to him.

Thank you. I printed the application and encircled it. Did you have to submit the paperwork you typed for the correction?

I don't understand, does this I485 allow you to also apply for I765?

If not, why apply for the 485?  I thought if your case is in court they can't give you EAD

Yeah, while in removal proceedings you'll basically file just the I-485 with no evidence (just the I-485, G-28 (if applicable), and a check/money order/G-1145 for filing fee, or if the IJ granted you a fee waiver a copy of the order instead) with a special lockbox in Irving, TX. USCIS will issue you a receipt notice which you will attach with the court filing (which is basically an I-485 packet) just as a proof that you filed with USCIS and paid the fee is applicable.

Then you can file for a C9 EAD with USCIS using the aforementioned receipt notice and proof that you filed with the court (e.g. a stamped cover page of the package).

If the IJ approves your I-485 you will get a court order granting you AOS, you will wait a few days, schedule an infopass appointment, bring the receipt notice and the IJ's order, and USCIS will print your green card.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

No new paperwork for that. Just take a sheet of paper with mistakes corrected. Be sure to cite the page and number.
Use 2 columns such as:

Mistake : 12b) I worked without authorization

Correction: 12b) I never worked without authorization

hope this helps.

Some people here in immigration proceedings filed their i485 with Vermont and it was accepted. It looks like when you file to Irving TX uscis won't adjudicate your case but the IJ. If you want uscis to adjudicate your case you must file a new i485 to Vermont and pay again for that

Hello Guys, asking for a friend.

She got married to US citizen in September 2020. Things are not going smooth and there is too much abuse including physical. She is going to file VAWA soon.

Q. Fortunately, they sent there whole package (485, 131,765, 944, 693, 864) already, she havent received biometric appointment yet. But if she will file VAWA, and will request to USCIS to hold her 485, what she need to do with her I-131, and 765? She need to send new I131 and 765 or she can use the one they will approve?

What if USCIS approve her I-131 and I765 prior her filing VAWA? Can she use it to travel her home country?

thank you,
