I-765 previous EAD on student visa

Hi,

I'm currently putting together an adjustment of status packet (after marriage to US spouse) and now am filling in form I-765. Question 12 in Part 2 asks whether "you have previously filed form I-765?". I think that I did after I finished my Master's in USA about 5 years ago - at the time I worked for a year after my studies with the EAD card. However, back then this of course expired after about a year and then I left USA.

Now that I married my spouse and would like to apply for a new EAD card, I ticked first box in Part 1 - i.e. "Initial permission to accept employment". Would this be correct? My reasoning for ticking the box is that my first EAD card was linked to my student visa (now I am applying under a different visa category) and this happened five years ago.

Should I answer yes, to question 12 Part 2 since I probably did file I-765 when I was at university (although I do not remember exactly as it was in 2014 and the university helped me to file the paperwork)?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Maybe one of you had a similar situation?

Thanks!
