Has anyone been able to get a K1 visa after a 212(a)(7)(A)(i)(I) was written on their passport. the officer said my ESTA is gone forever but that I may apply to come with a Visa. They suspected I would stay unfortunatley, which wasnt the case. Now me and my fiance are apart.

Any question that begins with "Has anyone" will garner a YES answer. Sorry that you no longer can visit. Such an unfortunate situation for you guys. Stay strong and you will get through this. Good luck and stay engaged.

Those who have gone before you usually carry documentation that clarifies why they will return to their country during their K-1 proceeding. Letter from their employer that they are aware you are on a sabbatical and will be returning on such and such date. You have a return ticket with the same date of travel so you can be back at work. That you own property and or a business that you must return to. Evidence such as that can persuade immigration at the POE.

Yes because a k1 visa would be one of the appropriate visas to get

YMMV

I’m curious. What did they give as the reason for your ESTA being gone forever?

OP did not have the correct visa.
