Which Email to Use to Create myUSCIS Account?

Hello I am filing for my wife's citizenship/naturalization (N-400) with 3 year with US Spouse (me), and everyone on the forum is suggesting to apply online.

Whether it be I-130, or I-751, or any other processes, I have always mailed the papers for her.

Question: Which email address should we use for online "MyUSCIS" account or does it not matter? Or create it with her email? (We have not created a MyUSCIS account before)

I searched the forum and did not find a clear answer.

Thank You.

Either is fine. But in the "Name", "A-number", etc. fields for Online Profile use her info. When filling out N-400, it recognizes mismatch with myUSCIS Profile info.

Thank you for the tip/info. I will keep that in mind. Thanks.

Sorry if this an obvious question, but I have created the myUscis Account, but I did not see anyplace where to edit profile.

Does that appear after filing an online application? Or should I forgot about it and just do the online application?

The only thing I see is "Verify your identity" where they ask for 1. A-number 2. DOS Case ID Number. I do not think I have DOS Case ID Number.

Thank you

Is the "Profile" page mostly blank?

Quote

Your USCIS Profile

Full name
Date of birth
A-number
Country of birth
Country of citizenship

-

Daytime phone number
Mailing address
Physical address

If mostly blank, then maybe after N-400 filing it would populate that info.

Sorry, I do not see any profile tab or button.

I only see My Account Tab and Resources Tab at the top right, with each having various drop down menus. There is no profile in them either.

Under the MyAccount Tab, there is

1. Home

2. Settings

Under Settings Tab there is (which you can change)

1. Email Address

2. Mobile Number

3. Notification preferences

4. Case inactivity notifications

Like you said, it probably comes after filing an application.

Should I skip the "Verify your identity" and just fill out the N-400 Application?

Maybe after filing it might show:

  1. Home
  2. Inbox
  3. Profile
  4. Settings

Yes, skip it. I don't have "DOS Case ID" so I skipped it.
