I believe they are doing expedited k1 interviews, and just normal IR 1 interviews.

Thank you so much, 🙏🏽

Do you know or have an idea how long it takes from DQ to interview? I am an IR 1. Appreciate.

We haven't been DQ yet..somethings are out of our control at the moment such as the joint sponsor furnishing the required documents..otherwise we have all our documents. My husband (in Germany) apartment lease ends in March 2021, he has to sign up for another lease (add 6 months ), he will be unable to break the new lease..has to pay the rent for those 6 months if he lives there or not..that's why I ask. We are just trying to decide for housing options if this process takes another 6-8 months from DQ.

I am not sure what DQ is... also, our case was K1 visa not IR 1 visa. So I am not sure how long it’s going to take. But I believe you will get an interview way faster than K1 visas are at the moment.

You should really be over in the CR-1/IR-1 thread asking your questions as the CR-1/IR-1 is different process from K-1's. CR-1/IR-1 rely on NVC to schedule their appointments whereas K-1's normally schedule their interview appointments. Your questions are confusing K-1's by the questions they are asking of you.

Go to the top of this page and in the blue ribbon select "forums". Scroll down to where you see CR-1/IR-1 progress reports. There is where you will get "boots on the ground" information concerning CR-1/IR-1. Also, in the forums tab scroll down about 3/4 of the page and find the sub-forum for your country/region where you will be with others from your area that can help. Good luck and stay engaged in the process.
