Omg I didn't realize your interview is over a year after k-1 filing. Wow and I betcha mine will be too, it sucks! I see AP in your signature too. When someone's file is in AP do they tell you why? I thought AP happened when a waiver was needed for one reason or another, but yours was obviously before your interview.

Do you think those of us that are taking so long are undergoing extra name or background checks? Or is it just bad luck being stuck on a shelf somewhere?

Well, I was in AP at NVC and they told me it was a security check. It took about 6 weeks. I don't think that it's easy to know what's going on or going wrong. Usually, if you're in AP they tell you. All the time I spent in VSC, who knows what they were doing. I mean some people got RFEs, I didn't. I got nothing and heard nothing, just didn't get processed for 5 months. So, I guess I was sitting somewhere waiting. Just like I was at the Ghana Embassy for over a month. Just sitting waiting. Nothing you can do but pray really.

Aby, have you received the letter yet?

My SO got his letter yesterday and we finally have an interview scheduled for June 24th. It's kind of far away, but I realize that it's better than not knowing anything. I'm pleased we are moving forward again. Maybe this process will end some day.

well i have no heard anything the only thing i got in the mail today was telling me i did not fill out a yes or no question. such bull sh*t! all i did was check no, sign my name and then mail it back. now it says it'll take 2 weeks from the date they receive it to process it and if i dont hear 60 days after that then call uscis again. ugh im so tired of not hearing anything, but im glad u finally got ur notice i hope the best for u and ur sweetie

Oh, so you got an RFE to correct something on your application. So, let's keep hoping. Sometimes after you return the RFE, they immediately review it and move on the case. Since your RFE was so simple, just checking a box, it could be a quick turn around. Try to stay positive. It's really hard, but it's all you've got. Since you're so close, maybe you can visit your SO. One of the things I wish, is that my sweetie was closer so it wouldn't cost me thousands of dollars for a visit so we could see each other more often. The last ticket price I got was $2,250.

if thats wut its called then yes i got an RFE which is dumb cuz i swear i filled everything out ugh stupid uscis! im hoping they review it quick and give me my approval like ASAP and im hoping its not to long after that for my fiance to get his interview date. im tryin to stay positive, but i have a hard time doin that my fiance is a big help with that tho. well its hard to visit him because im a college student and also doing work and i cant take time off from either sadly but when he came for x-mas we looked at ticket prices and it was almost $2,000. well hopefully something happens soon...

HOLY SHOOT! YOUR STILL WAITING?!?! I thought my case was bad taking 360 days to approve, but wow! what is going on with your case that is taking so long? and have you contacted uscis? wow i thought my wait was bad, but i give you my greatest respects to still be waiting!

Wow... when i first read the topic I thought there was a confusion here, but it seems like there are still June 2007 filers waiting for NOA2.

Guys, it's a confusion here... helah&ramiro have their I-129F in june 2008, and yours and your thread is dated 2007 !

K&R...to answer your question, YES, there are still plenty of us who are waiting for NOA2.

Take a closer look at their timeline. And try not to pee your pants in horror. They ARE waiting since 2007.

Yes, we are still waiting since June of 2007. Our lawyer sent a letter to the US attorney last week giving them 21 days to respond. At the end of 21 days we will file a writ of mandamus if we don't have any word back from them. Our lawyer says no one knows why some cases get hung up. They get stuck on a desk somewhere and its really the luck of the draw as to who gets stuck and who moves through the system in a timely manner.

This has been an extremely long and painful process. I am glad most of you have had much better outcomes.

I really feel for all of you that have been waiting 1 yr + I can imagine the anguish that you feel. I was just wondering if you have considered abandoning the K1 and going for the K3 since the processing times at CSC are now just over 90 days. Best of luck hearing back positive news soon.

I see you got an RFE. I filed like you June 2007 and once they went by my processing date and I did not hear anything I kept bugging USCIS. If you can contact the service center where your case went. Finally 8 months after i filed they sent me an RFE. I mailed it back the same night and kept bugging them yet once again. I kept having request for evidence on what they were doing with my case I believe it was put in. Finally almost 4 months after the RFE I was approved, but I wonder why they waited so long to send the RFE to you. hmmm??? That is why your case is still hung up though is because of the RFE. Just when you think you did everything right, something messes up! I would expect you to hear within this month for your approval if not December the latest. I am just guessing from my RFE experience. I wish you luck and hope your journey after the approval goes smoothly!!! Best of luck!

We got approved!!!!!!!

We just got an email today saying we were approved and notice sent yesterday. We had sent a letter to the US attorney (via our lawyer) giving them 21 days to respond before we filed a writ of mandamus. Our lawyer was going to file the writ tomorrow. After waiting nearly a year and half we finally got the news we thought would never come. Needless to say, we are ecstatic, excited, relieved, happy, delirious, etc.....

Thank you to all of you who encouraged us along the way. It has been helpful to have other people to check in with who are going through the same thing.

We got approved!!!!!!!

We just got an email today saying we were approved and notice sent yesterday. We had sent a letter to the US attorney (via our lawyer) giving them 21 days to respond before we filed a writ of mandamus. Our lawyer was going to file the writ tomorrow. After waiting nearly a year and half we finally got the news we thought would never come. Needless to say, we are ecstatic, excited, relieved, happy, delirious, etc.....
