RFE is a proof for our meeting in the past two years.

I don't have my boarding passes.

When I got engaged I was an Indian citizen. So even the stamps which are a proof of my travel are on Indian passport. I sooooo don't want them to get confused If I send them that.

I do have my American passport now and travelled to India last month. However, they specifically asked for evidence that I have met her before June.... weired... maybe cause that is when I applied??

Can I still send them evidence that I met her last month too???

:help:

April 7th - Got Engaged to my Love.

June 12th - Applied for K1 visa for her.

June 15th - CSC received our file.

June 26th - Touch

Nov 13th - Received RFE hard copy (notice date of Nov. 5th)

Nov 15th - CSC received RFE.

Nov 19th - Touch (message updated saying they mailed me a copy of RFE)

Nov 20th - Touch

Nov 23rd - Touch (maybe due to phone call)

Nov 26th - Touch

Nov 27th - Touch

Nov 28th - Touch

Dec 6th - Approval Notice sent NOA2 !!!!!!!!!! YAY !!!!!!

Do you have pictures, hotel receipts, etc as proof from when you two were together in the last 2 years? I would send those and copies of the passport pages showing you were there with an explaination of why the stamps are in a different passport. I don't think they'll be confused if you send an explaination.

They require proof that you met your fiance in the 2 years prior to filing your petition. The fact that you have met after filing is not relevant and will probably be ignored. You must send a copy of the passport showing the stamps in your Indian passport. You can send a letter explaining the circumstances to them. You could also consider including such things as an airline booking, baggage tags, atm receipts or copies of bank statements showing withdrawals when you were visiting as secondary evidence but the passport stamps are the most important and are primary evidence.

17th March 2010 - Started the removal of conditions process

22nd March 2010 - Application received by CSC

30th April 2010 - Biometrics appointment

This might be slightly off-topic: Has anyone run into their passport being stamped with the wrong year? I came back from England this past August and only just realized that they stamped it as returning to USA 8/7/2006 - instead of 2007. I meant to use that visit and this one (I'm in London now, fiance is at work) as proof of continuing relationship, but now that passport stamp would be useless.

Nope, what had happened to me is that i sent the visa waiver copy, but.... forgot to send the page where my passport has the stamp.

Well, another point for my RFE. :crying:

Why do we even bother calling USCIS?

Today, I managed to get past the barbed wire fairly quickly to speak with an Immigration Officerette. She said:

1) USCIS is still within its timeline regarding my application, regardless of HOW many other Junes/Julys have been processed. (Right.)

b) Regardless of how many other people are receiving RFEs and NOA2s in the mail, without having been apprised by e-mail or web update, my application is "still pending." (Duh.)

iii) There is no telling whether it has been or when it will be assigned to an adjudicator. (I knew that.)

D) "USCIS needs the funds to hire more adjudicators! Do you know how many applications they've received since the fees went up?" (Irrelevant, because I filed earlier... and thanks for telling me to file at the TSC when I could have saved 10 days filing at the CSC, where USCIS already KNEW that all the TSC applications would be sent.)

5) "The reason that your Case Status Online hasn't been updated is because of how OVERWORKED the adjudicators are! Would you like them to take manpower from important things, like adjudicating, to update websites or send e-mails?" (If e-mail updates and case statuses online are offered, it IS their job to attend to these "unimportant" things.)

VI) "Wait until mid-month -- USCIS will update its processing effective-dates." (Yes, by the usual one month -- see 1. above. Can you spell "cover," "your," and "butthead"?)

Meanwhile, in ONE day, my VJ timeline slipped from 11/07 to 1/8/08. This is more news than I get from any USCIS avenue.

Is anyone else ready to lose it after trying to talk with those USCIS birds?

T-Bone

Change the service centre in your timeline to California (which is where your petition is) and your adjudicated date should go back to where it was.

Interesting; just did, and the date regressed to 11/8/07 (already past, which returns us to the reason for my call to USCIS today in the first place).

Is it honest, though, or accurate as it affects overall VJ statistics, for ME to change my service center when others may not change theirs? After all, I DID file at the TSC. Is this a question that a moderator should answer?
