Hey all...well I made a call to CSC this evening after work and talked to a CS rep who told me she couldnt tell me anymore than what was posted on the website that I should call back in an hour and get another CS rep on the line and ask for an immigration officer who could do a case inquiry for us (she tried to transfer me but said they weren't responding to her ring). This was at 5:30 CST and 40 minutes later at 6:10 pm I called to get a recording that the normal hours were from 8 am to 6 pm Mon-Fri . Am I daft or was she just trying to get rid of me??? Isn't California on Pacific time...am I not an hour ahead of them??? I'm confused and frustrated again. Well the call did end up in a touch, which is the first one I've gotten since they received our petition. I will try to call again in the morning. Maybe that is a bit of information we can all try when we make our next phone calls...an immigration officer she said can look closer at our petitions and tell us if they have been assigned to a case worker and what the current status is on it as far as an adjudication date. Please let it be soon...Insha'allah! I pray for all of us that we get approved soon.

So how do you get in contact with an officer? Do you still have to do the RFE trick?

Well I usually get a touch by now after calling but nothing. So he probably didn't even look at it. I thought I could hear Tetris music playing in the background.

She told me when I call back to get any CS rep and just ask for an immigration officer and they will transfer you there. When I initially called I told her I haven't heard anything since I was sent my first NOA and that I was wanting to know if it had been turned over to a case worker yet. I played dumb basically and told her I knew it took awhile with the back log in June, but I was concerned that noone has touched it since. She seemed nice, but I think she didn't try hard enough to get me through to an officer. Oh well there is always tomorrow to try again.

i think they should be working on with all of the petitions equally....

i am waiting patiently still...

my notice i got says the received date was june 1 and the notice date june 18

but when i log in with their site, they say that they received my petition june which is which?????????

Let us know how that goes. I'm not sure how to even get a breathing person other then to feign stupidity and say I thought I got an RFE.

seems like alot of petitions got "touched" for the past 5 days....

i never called about our case yet. so i have hope that "touch" means someone is finally working on it. if i dont get our NOA2 by Nov15, then i will make my first call.

hopefully, i dont have to call them...

I think your case must be assigned to an officer there. I know many folks here have already made plans for their weddings, so USCIS should hurry up. I do not know about it very well, but usually when people plan wedding and let everypne knows early, it is very hard to change the date or plan. I know USCIS wants to make the US safe and does not want to let unethical people enter the US, BUT, I think that most cases are trouble free. Not like people are cheating the US governmet or doing marriage fraud, or obviously trouble free cases, they should approve immediately. I understand that some cases are complicated.
