Unfortunately nobody from our VJ members has received NOA2 yet this week. Last week there were 15 who were approved. Anyway it's still Tuesday. Hope to see more NOA2s this remaining few days of the week.

It's nice to have a forum like this to see how others are doing. Does anyone know what to do if you never receive the NOA1? They cashed the check over a month ago, but that's it. Is there something else I can be doing until it arrives (if it ever does)?

you can get the receipt number off the cancelled check from your bank (use this in the uscis website to check status). The hardcopy isnt all that important. NOA1 just means they opened your file. My check didnt even get cashed for a whole month! You want the NOA2 now

I did get the receipt number off the back of the check last month, but nothing has happened since they cashed the check. (I look online nearly everyday.) I was just a little nervous because it seems everyone has rec'd the NOA1 & I haven't and I didn't know if I actually had to have it. Thanks for your reply.

Anyone else notice their date of adjudication steadily get farther and farther away? Wasn't bothering me at first but I went from the 3rd week of September to almost the middle of October. I guess CSC must have have decided to stop processing any petitions until after the July 30th date. A joke...just want that date to get closer is all.

I went from Oct 18th, to the 23rd and now, the 26th.

At this rate, I may just stay in Thailand when I get there in Sepetmber.

Hi there, my timeline was updated when I registered on this site last week, so how do I go about adding my fiance & I to this list? I sent the paper work in on 5/31/07 but everything was sent to CA & the check was cashed on 6/18/07. Thanks

I don't mean to be a whiner, but I think I had better stop looking at my K1 timeline on here - the estimated adjudication date keeps getting further and further away... It started out being mid-September, and now today it has jumped from Oct 14 to Oct 20. I know it doesn't really mean anything, but it's so depressing........!!!

My adjudication date started on the 6th of october and now it is the 24th. I agree. Very depressing.

Well, here is a hard piece of fat to chew. I called the USCIS and talked to a lady there for a good 5 min and drilled her with questions from A-Z, even asking if it would speed things up if I went to Brasil and got my fiance pregnant. Anyway, with all the congestion with consolidating service centers and the 30,000 apps a month they are getting in, not to mention the spike in apps by those trying to beat the new fee increase, she said it would realisticly take 6 mos to get my NOA2 (approval). I about shot blood from my eyes hearing that. Then I reminded her I filed for the k1 in mid June and asked about their holiday schedule due to the tri-fecta holidays in the latter part of the year. She said that will have an effect for sure even at embassy's abroad with people traveling home for the holidays. Oh, I suspected such a thing and I was real happy hearing that.... So finally, I told her that I guess what your saying is that my fiance wont be getting her gyno exam anytime soon....
