hello everyone.

my sponsor had a very less difference in income to 125% poverty level like $2000 so she submitted her assets value (those assets which can easily converted to cash within one year) to fulfill the difference which is three times of the difference and becomes $6000 and her asset value was of $18000. my question is will the pakistani embassy consider it or i still have to arrange joint sponsor? any pakistani have faced this situation, kindly share his experience. thanks

No, the Pakistani Embassy will not consider it, because they aren't involved.  Your case will go to the Consular Immigrant Visa Unit of the US Embassy in Islamabad, where everything in the financial package will be considered. 😉  Note that an employed person does not qualify based on 2019 income from a tax return or ANY tax return.  Current income is the key.  How does the sponsor's stated current income compare to the 125%?  2019 income has little if anything to do with current income.

sir when my sponsor first submitted i864 and financial docs then NVC's response was after checking the income docs, they said the CO will decide at the time of interview. so as you told me they aren't involved, what doe it mean? i mean they clear said the sponsor can use their asset value if they are not meeting the 125% poverty level income. my interview is on 2nd Dec next week. and i am so worried after you answer. what should i do now? i couldn't get joint sponsor then and use the asset option. 😞

I said the Pakistani Embassy is not involved.  You'll be dealing with the US Embassy's Consular Immigrant Visa Unit.  There is no Pakistani Embassy in Pakistan, and no US Embassy in the USA.

I answered that in my first reply.  They will consider everything in the financial package.  Another way of saying it is that they will consider the totality of circumstances.
