I'm not sure if you can do it with all US embassies world wide, but I know at least for the embassy in Thailand, I can just go straight onto their website and all packet 3 forms that are needed are on the site. So it isn't neccessary to even wait to receive packet 3, you just download the forms and send them as soon as you hear the embassy has your case...you might want to check into that with your respective embassy.

The Montreal consulate's website is a bit of a joke, really. There's not much on there at all.

That sucks...considering how (most) things are run in Thailand I'm actually quite surprised at how good the US embassy Thailand's website is. I would think Canada's would be a million times better...

We can do that also, download all the stuff needed for the Pack3,I myself would prefer to wait until I have the packet sent to me and can read the instructions with a cup of coffee and then have at it.

Dont want to miss anything out.

Good point Dakota, but at least for me, there are so many Thailand people on here that have already done this and have told me exactly what needs to be sent to the embassy to get the interview, I don't feel like I need to wait.

Well then your good to go then, good luck.

Waiting inpatiently every day to see if anything has arrived in my mailbox...

Does anybody know when the fiance(e) gets the NVC letter that the case is forward to the foreign embassy,if there is any instructions in this letter telling you how to do the affidavit of support?

Told my fiancee to get it ready and wants to wait for the NVC letter first, though I highly doubt they write anything in there about that am I correct???

No, the letter from NVC doesn't give instructions on filling out the affidavit of Support. It just lets you know that your case has been forwarded to the embassy. It's really simple looking and makes you think " I waited all of that time for THIS letter??" Anyway, hope you hear from them soon!
