Hi, I was browsing through the visa journey website and saw that the Vermont Service Center is currently processing cases date August 11, 2020. Is that accurate, because if you check on the website of USCIS it shows that they are still on cases dated in 2018.  I just want to get a feel for what cases they are currently processing.

The VJ I-129F data for Vermont is very limited. Thus, not accurate.

Ok thanks for the information. But I was also looking at the last 15 cases approved by Vermont and they seem to be taking anywhere from 4-6 months to approve.

Vermont is basically a processing center where cases need additional scrutiny. For best results just ignore Vermont and stay on top of CSC California.

Note: the USCIS Case Tracker app lets you set a range of WAC# before and after yours to see the status of those cases. Very slick tool to ascertain where you are in the processing timeline of USCIS compared to others.

There is a interesting tool to use for sorting timeline data based on different data points and it's found here on VJ.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of the conversation. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will better prepare you for your interview. Each embassy is different and therefore it's not advisable to be concerned with others from other parts of the world. Just keeping in real.

My case was transferred to Vermont Service Center that is why I'm inquiring about it.  It's not only a service that cases get transferred to just for additional scrutiny, that's not true. Anyway thanks for your opinion.  Every service center that USCIS has which is 5 of them, are equipped to handle any case . I don't know why so many people on this forum say negative things. I've spoken to supervisors in the past with USCIS and questioned them about petitions with filers who have a criminal history even though they were never convicted and was told that every office can handle any case.

For K-1 specifically, only California Service Center and Vermont Service Center process those I-129Fs: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ The other 3 only process I-129Fs for K-3 visas.

Yes, I understand that but the other 3 process them too but not usually only in times when there's a backlog like now. If you go to the uscis website it explains many petitions were transferred to one of the 5 offices.

Explain why you seem to be the only one recently who has stated their case has gone to Vermont and why you think its workload specific. We are here to help explain what you and others have experienced. It's our way of giving back to the community though many times it goes unappreciated. Good luck and stay engaged.

Because it clearly shows on the USCIS website that they transferred several cases recently to different offices due to extremely high workloads to reduce the time and for the efficiency of the case. I read on their website. Just go to their website and search workload transfers.

I know what it says but what I am telling you is real world experience. Believe what you want but that is how it's been for years. My bet is on our years of experience.

Cool, thanks for your assistance! I appreciate it. I'm just praying and hoping that I get decision back on my case within 90 days as the officer said.  Bcs my past experience with the Vermont Service Center wasn't good! It was a terrible experience to say the least. My case was pending for more than 18 months then finally I had to submit a withdraw request bcs my ex fiance decided it was better to go our separate ways due to personal health issues with her and her mother. It took nearly 5 months to withdraw my case at the Vermont Service Center as well. I'm just praying and hoping for the best results as well as a better experience this time around. Bcs, it's not good to be given misinformation every time I called them in the past.

This can be a daunting experience. Most fly through without the kind of problems you have experience. Add to it your personal experience with a breakup and it's more than some have experienced. I hope that you find the road ahead much smoother. Good luck and stay engaged.

Yes, it can be! Yeah, I had to write a letter explaining why I withdrew my last petition and I included a copy of the withdrawal acknowledgement letter with my new petition as well as why my last 2 marriages ended in divorce. So this is my 4th petition, which is why I had to include more documents and request for a multiple filer waiver with extraordinary circumstances and include an explanation of my past criminal history with my records showing the original charges were dismissed.  I think the fact that I included all of my documents and then some my petition should be ok, that's what I'm praying and hoping for. But we shall see. Hopefully, it won't take long this time. I think the other reason my last petition took so long and it never made it to initial review was because when I filed my petition that time my criminal case was still open and I got an RFE for the criminal record because I didn't include it with the original paperwork, due to the fact it was still open. I probably should have waited that time to file my petition but I was given poor advice by USCIS tier 1 officers and tier 2.

Not I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e). Other petitions like I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-updates/workload-transfer-updates

It doesn't specifically say i-129 f but I assumed it was included in those categories but thanks for clearing that up. I know better than to assume, lol.
