Divorce decree - K1 interview?

The website for US embassy at Moscow lists the below as one of the documentary requirements for K1 interview:

" Evidence of termination of prior marriage(s) (if applicable), original, photocopy and translation into English. "

Its not clear to me if they are asking for this evidence for my (USC petitioner) prior marriage or the beneficiary's (fiancee) prior marriage or both. In our case, my fiancee was never married. I was and did send the decree to USCIS for I129F processing - do I now need to send it to my fiancee for her to handcary it to embassy??

Any clarifications please?

As long as you included a copy with your I-129F, you DO NOT need to send an original to your fiancee. If they would've wanted to see the original or more proof of you being divorced, they would've RFE'd you. As long as you get no RFE, you're good to go.

If your fiancee was never married before, there's no need to send anything saying "I've never been married before." That said, it doesn't hurt to do a "letter of intent to marry" as outlined on the Visa Journey guide. My fiancee and I both did one and sent it in with our K-1 packet. That proves to USCIS and the embassy C/Os that you're affirming you're both free and clear to legally marry and you want to marry each other. You signed it, so now you have to!

Yes with I129F we did send the 'letter of intent' and my divorce decree. And the I129F is now approved.

Now for fiancee for her K1 interview in moscow, does she need to take my divorce decree also to Moscow embassy?

I had a copy of my divorce decree in hand when I went to Kiev for my fiancee's (now wife) interview. I had included a copy in the petition. They never asked for it, but she should have a copy of the whole petition with her at the interview, just in case something was lost. Just my opinion.

It would be a wise choice to have that document in hand. You may not need it, but if asked for it....Well, you know.

As stated above, she should have a copy of the K-1 packet you sent.

Everything you sent to USCIS with the K-1 packet, you should photocopy and send her that packet (along with your I-134 and bank statements, tax info, etc. - your "financial support docs") so she can take it to the interview with her. Also helps her to "brush up" on stuff like your name, address, etc.

We provided certified copies from the court and the embassy staff did make copies of them.
