There is currently no requirement for a negative Covid test before entering the US.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Not mandatory. But check on your state requirements, it may be helpful. (Example: If she is coming to NY state from a country above CDC level 1 and wants to have only a 3 day quarantine rather than a 14 day one, then it is recommended to have a Covid test done 72 hours or less before arrival as part of the shortened procedure.)

Hi. I'm flying to Atlanta on delta airlines but I have a 3 hr layover in NY. Do I also need to test? I will obviously not leave the airport into the city, or is the test only required for those entering the city?

As said by another, it may depend on state. I had to have a COVID test before entering Connecticut but not to enter Colorado (I moved in April at the start of the pandemic). I hope this little bit helps. Also, I hear United is offering rapid COVID tests on certain routes, might be worth watching for.

Also, I quarantined for two weeks on arrival, might not be mandatory but you also don't want be a poster child for COVID etc.....:)
