Hello everyone!

Preparing to apply for naturalization and couple of unclear moments popped out.

Question 1. What if I not only study at a University but also work there as a graduate assistant at the same time, and this is my only occupation? In this case, filling out a section about my job, should I include both separately denoting the same time period? Or should I choose something out of these two?

Question 2. Applying for n-400 ONLINE in the first several days when my 90-day window is opened, will I be safer (since the system wouldn't let me apply if it were too early) than applying by mail? I've read some cases on VJ when people had to reapply because they sent their packages on the second day of their 90-day window.

Thank you very much for all your suggestions!

For one, if you had a paid job while studying, you should list it.  For question two, if you are worried, wait a day and file online.  The only stories I have heard were related to folks submitting the online application minutes after the window opened most likely due to how the different servers may be dated and how those dates were reported.  If you wait a day (full 24 hours), I don't think you would run into any problems.

Good Luck!

I'll just wait a week into my N400 before applying online. It'll give you peace of mind as you're sure your application will not be rejected because of time

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Thank you all for your answers! I will list both separately then with the same dates.

I have one more question about traveling period. The form says list all travels for the last 5 years, but what if I am applying based on marriage and arrived to the US just slightly more than 3 years ago. Should I just ignore everything before I moved to the US? I don't remember running into it somewhere before.

I would appreciate your thoughts!
