Hello,

I am a petitioner  for my mother and  I am getting ready to fill out the form of Affidavit support .

I have read the instructions. But still  confused and I just wanted to make sure I do this right the first time.

I am  currently not employed (a student.), bringing my mother as a permanent resident.

My husband is the one working, and our household income pass the Poverty guidelines and our tax filed jointly.

My question is

since I am unemployed and zero income Am, I still considered the primary sponsor and will complete I-864 ? or my husband  is the sponsor and fill out the  I-864.? Or we both have to fill separately?

And  my second question is  since our house hold income passes poverty guidelines We don`t need to fill out I-864A  right??

I hope I didn’t confuse you

Thank you for your response in advance

hi

the petitioner is always the primary sponsor, you will fill out the i864 and your husband will fill out the i864A as your household member

This is the sub-forum for bringing family members of permanent residents.  I assume you're a US citizen, not LPR?  Otherwise, your petition for your mother would not have been approved.
