Hello all, we got the SSN card yesterday (19th) and we have the EAD card. But no online system will match the SSN to my husbands name (trying to apply for Twitch affiliate, also tried credit checking websites).

Is there some delay with SSN and validating the SSN/Name with online systems?

It can take several months for even a credit reporting agency to have the information.

The specific error he gets is, "The Name and Tax ID provided do not match IRS records." For Clarification! This is for work. For a job he is applying for.

It's frustrating that he has the card but it won't work.

Your husband's SSN is brand new and never been used.  Hard for anyone to have a record of a new number that has never been used.  No one has reported anything to the credit agencies, so they have no record.

Get a bank account.   Get a credit card.  Get a few bills.  Then, they will have something to report to the credit agencies.

Your husband has never used his SSN to file a tax return with the IRS, so it's impossible for the IRS to have any records for him.

The SSA has nothing to do with the IRS.

Your husband has to start using his SSN before anyone can have anything to report for him and that SSN.
