My AOS is via marriage to USC not employment, though it’s not K1 visa. That’s why I’ve been posting in the AOS from K1 Forums. The AOS via employment seems to be going along different timelines than marriage to USC.

Posting it in the wrong forum just confuses people, because those adjusting under a K-1 are not permitted to work without an EAD.

Understood thanks. These are things that confuse me too to be honest.

this forum is for when you entered on a visa other than the k1. Not adjusting “through”work specifically.  Most people adjust through a spouse. But if you enter with a visa other than the K1 this is the appropriate forum.

Appreciate it, thanks!
I’m still hoping someone might have some ideas about my initial question, which was - how accurate are the Visajourney timelines and why is there a difference between the email update and the timeline on the website profile? The stuff about my work situation was more of a rant

VJ timelines are only as accurate as the input put into them.

By that I assume you mean the estimates are based off of the dates that people put into their timeline? Also, what would cause a discrepancy of several months between an update sent by email from Visajourney and the estimate listed on my profile timeline? I’m just curious how this works and how much stock to put in it. Thanks!

That is exactly right.  For your second question, you want to message @Captain Ewok.  He is the guru behind the curtain.
