Health Insurance while adjusting status

Hello, wife and I are in a pickle here because we don´t know what to do. Wife works part time as delivery driver (Uber/Doordash) and is a college student. Me on the other hand can´t work because I haven´t received the EAD yet. We are looking for a health insurance plan together and the cheapest one in the marketplace is around 360 dollars a month (including a tax credit for her). Do we have to take that or is there a cheaper option? What about private/short term health insurance? I´ve found many of those for $100 bucks for both of us, are they any good? Will USCIS prefer to see we got the marketplace option instead?

Thank you

The terms "good" and "cheap" do not co-exist in the world of healthcare in the US.  I can't believe that $100 per month would buy anything more than some restrictive catastrophic plan with outrageous deductibles.  That $360 per month plan doesn't seem unreasonable for a market place option, imo.
