Hi All,

Someone recently posted a review for the Lagos consulate related to their fiance's K1 interview. The person didn't put the date of the interview, so not sure if the review was based on a recent interview or not. If this was recent I find it strange because the Lagos consulate does not seem to be addressing K1 visas at all. Has anyone else had a recent interview or received a date for K1 visa interview with the Lagos consulate?

You can see when that person's interview was by clicking on their timeline.

I believe the Lagos consulate website itself mentions that there are no routine visas being processed there at the moment.

Actually the Lagos website says that as of 10/13/20 they have resumed processing of certain immigrant and non immigrant visas...my question was specifically related to K1 visa interviews at that embassy. Thanks

It was me who posted a review and yes the interview was on September 30th. It was an expedited case. I am still waiting on the visa to be issued

Thanks for responding and sharing that additional information. Over a month waiting for a response for our expedited interview request. I just figured we would hear an answer by now. Hard to tell nowadays if delays are COVID related strictly or political

It’s gotta be political.... there is barely Covid cases there....no lock down.... yet the embassy is closed..... other countries have higher rates and they are open... is quite crazy! Thank god we at least got the interview out the way...

The best place to find information about your embassy is at the embassy website. Another place is to use the "sub-forum" menu to locate your region as this allows you to be a part of the conversation for your country.

Go to the blue ribbon above, select "forums" then scroll about three-fourths of the page down and select the region that most represents where your country is located.

There are tools here that can be used but if the person doesn't complete their profile with their embassy and their timeline then it's hard to get a handle on things concerning their process and yours. SO.....

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks
