Just looking for some clarification on my position with regards to I-693 medical certificate. I submitted I-130 and I-485 a couple weeks ago and am now making sure I understand the next steps. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and an oversight on my part I wasn’t able to get a completed I-693 in time to submit with my I-485 so I submitted a medical certificate (DS-3025) that I took in London as part of a now abandoned K1 visa application. I’m expecting to get an RFE for a completed I-693 and ideally I could do the examination and get the document ready for the RFE. I have read that the I-693 lasts for 2 years but it would need to be dated within 60 days of the date of submission, is that the case? Therefore, would I be best waiting until I receive the RFE before scheduling an examination? Any advice is much appreciated

Instead of RFE, it should be a courtesy letter:

It clearly says "DO NOT MAIL DOCUMENTS AT THIS TIME." As mentioned in the letter above, if you are scheduled an interview for I-485, you should bring the I-693 then.

Only if they intend to adjudicate I-485 without interview would they issue RFE for I-693. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-b-chapter-4 "Applicants may submit the Form I-693 medical examination report to USCIS: Concurrently with the immigration benefit application; or At any time after filing the immigration benefit application but before USCIS finalizes adjudication of that application. If not submitted simultaneously with the immigration benefit application, applicants may bring the medical examination report to an interview or wait until USCIS issues an RFE requesting the medical examination report."
