Sorry, but if I see a woman pretending to be a guy step up to use the urinal and hear her peeing on the floor (and on herself) instead, I'm going to look and laugh. I think they've earned the attention they're getting.

  I'm not worried about using the wrong bathroom myself, nor about others using the wrong bathroom.

 

  I am getting a little worried about people who are overly preoccupied with what bathroom others are using. From an anthropological perspective, it's interesting to understand the issues that make observing others bathroom habits a major issue in someones life.

Does this apply when mothers bring their unruly sons into the bathroom/dressing room stalls with them, and then they inevitably peer under the door? As it happens that is the only time I've ever been bothered. Thankfully transgender individuals tend to be more bothered to pee like the rest of us and have never given me cause to worry.

we should ban those restrooms marked for parents too! the ones where either mom or dad can bring their kids to go potty!

the diaper changing ones too!

and we should have separate bathrooms at home for boys and girls!

I've said for a long time non gendered private rooms/stalls would've made sense, and pre-empt this ridiculous wedge issue before it took off. Clearly people prefer the pointless conflict.

I feel like someone is using the wrong thing all the freaking time. I celebrate the discomfort that some people may feel that leads to a "Oh! So this is what it feels like to be uncomfortable. This is what it feels like to feel threatened." moment. Except it's not really a threat. It's just someone peeing in a flipping toilet.
