F2A to F2B While I-485 was pending.

My priority date is July 2016. Adjustment of status form was applied when I was under F2A category. I was told during my immigration interview that I aged out and changed to F2B category and I will be getting a letter explaining everything which was May/2019. I have not received any updates since then.

Dates for filing for F2B is 01/May/2016 as of Nov/2020. My priority date is near and I need to know if my adjustment of status is still pending or it's denied and I need to file new one in the F2B category when my priority date becomes current maybe in two months. Since my category is moved from F2A to F2b, my initial form i-485 is still pending or denied and I need to file new form??

Do you think AOS gets denied or continue to pending once my initial category is changed automatically because of aging out?

So USCIS has officially determined you aged out? You should consult a competent immigration attorney to double check USCIS's calculation. For example, "satisfying the sought to acquire requirement" might benefit your case. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-7-part-a-chapter-7 If USCIS made a clear mistake you or the attorney can contact the Ombudsman; "I have received action or decision that involves clear errors of fact or misapplication of law by USCIS."

Thank you for the reply. Yes, during my AoS interview, he calculated my CSPA age and it was 21 years 8months. I was clearly aged out. If I was changed to F2B while keeping my priority date, I am hoping to get my status adjusted.

Mind answering the following just so I can double check the officer's math:

Your date of birth:

Date I-130 filed:

Date I-130 approved:

Date I-485 filed:

Has the petitioner naturalized after filing the I-130, if so, date:

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.
