So mom got a 26 lb turkey for the 3 of us, me, Mrs Prizm and mom. no idea who is gonna cook it. I think turkey day this year will be a low key affair since no one wants to go out or anything because of the Rona. Even still it will be a little better than last Thanksgiving where me and the Mrs spent it in a hotel room in another state because of a horrific thing that happened. it wasn't how me or my kids envisioned Thanksgiving, and i wish the mrs had met the kids under happier circumstances.

We have the tree up, and Mrs Prizm was happy and a little irked that when she came home from work yesterday, she already had 3 presents under the tree, and we had just put it up on Saturday. Teeheehee. Irked because she hasnt been able to go anywhere to shop for my PS5 or anything else. She is in a serious lets watch Christmas movie mood lately. This is a good sign. Still looking for the movie Krampus.

We are wondering how to ring in the New Year since we are not sure if it would be a good idea to go downtown like we did last year and stand amongst 50000 of our closest fellow city dwellers to watch the fireworks. Then of course we have Orthodox CChristmas in January so another excuse to buy the wife something nice before we move a couple of weeks later.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Holiday season and we all ring in the new year with Hope!

Not sure how big our turkey will be this year. He's still fattening up in the backyard. He's at least 30 lbs now, I weighed him last in June and he was 25 lbs then so I can only guess what he is now.

We will be staying home but my family starts off at 8 so not small to begin with.

I put my Christmas tree up on Canadian Thanksgiving. So it's been up since Columbus day lol. I do have a few presents under it but I only did that to block  the puppies. They were getting under the tree and one little guy is 8 weeks old and likes to chew on wires.

We always stay home for New Year and watch movies and make a ton of snack food and bubbly juice.

Stay safe

Well turkey is not really hard to cook, and if you have a 26lb'er, you'll have plenty left over. That's what we usually do - the turkey is eaten over the course of many days... until everyone is sick of it, that is.

Xmas decorations do not go up until Thanksgiving onwards, as it usually takes a couple days to get everything up. I used to do it myself a little earlier, but it's nearly impossible now with as much time I spend taking care of the parents these days. Still, Xmas and Thanksgiving itself will be a lot easier because there will be no one visiting that we need to entertain because of the pandemic. It will just be our main family group.

NYE used to be a very important milestone for me and the husband.. (it's the anniversary of when we first met) and we used to have reservations at our favorite place, followed by returning home for a party. It will now all likely be staying at home and having a game night with lots of snacks.
