Additional documents requested by embassy

My wife went for her interview at the London embassy last Monday, they refused her the visa because they requested for my W2 form. The interviewer told her to upload it on NVC but the green sheet they gave her states that she will receive an email within 1-2 days to direct her on how to send documents to the embassy through a courier service but she has not received the email yet. I however uploaded the W2 form to NVC on Monday and also sent it in an email to the London embassy's document submission email. I spoke to NVC today and they said they are no longer in charge of the process since it's at the embassy now. Does anyone have a similar experience and if yes, how long did it take to hear back from the embassy on submitted documents. Thank you.

You’re about the fifth London person I have seen post the same story. They uploaded to NVC (Even though the W2 was already there). They emailed also. It worked. Sorry I don’t have a link for their threads. I’m not even sure they were in this U.K. forum.
