Turkey US Consulate is not open for K1 visa either. I received an email from them today that they are not sure of when they will start interviews again. I understand your frustration too 😫 I even called the NVC they told me the same thing, that Turkeys consulate is not accepting the k1 at the moment.

My Fiancee's country (Cameroon) is interviewing and issuing K visas. A friend was interviewed yesterday and would pick his visa up on Friday. My Fiancee's Interview is scheduled for the 14th of December. I hope other embassies around the world would do the same so we all can be with our loved ones.

I get excited to see embassies in Africa starting to open! I saw someone on here have a K-1 interview in Rwanda. We are waiting on the embassy in Ethiopia. Hopefully by Jan it will open.

Hello in Poland they aren't processing Ks visas at the moment until 31 December ban will be lifted.

Schengen Area proclamation (which affects most K-1 applicants there) is in effect indefinitely until ended by a President*. The other proclamations (April 22 and June 22) have a listed end date (subject to change) but don't affect K-1.

*Biden's inauguration isn't until Jan. 20. Unknown exactly how quick he'll end this proclamation.

Wow happy to hear that.

My fiancé is in Ghana and the embassy is still closed. I can’t imagine how they’re deciding these things. If Cameroon ad Rwanda can schedule for K1, surely Ghana can too.

Just going to maintain peace of mind.

Hola,

My fiancee,  who's been stuck in Ecuador most of year,  had her VISA interview originally scheduled in early April,  then everything shut down.  The Guayquil consulate who does all the interviews,  suddenly got a new notice of interview in mid August,  but it wasn't rescheduled until late October.  Then again suddenly in late September,  she got a new notice saying interview now moved up to Oct 6th.   She had successful interview Oct 6th,  they approved her after 45 minutes of a few strange repeated series of questions,  and now just finally received her passport/VISA back on Thursday in Quito -  YEA  !!!!   She arrives USA Tuesday.  Amazing journey -  we first filed the I-129F on July 12th, 2019.   COVID Sucks !!!

I’m so confused because I’m still seeing some people being called for interviews from all over the world and yet at the same time I read that there are only 2-3 US consulates in the whole world right now that are issuing K1 visas.

So right now which embassies are issuing K1 visas now? And which embassies are scheduling people for K1 visas?

I’m so over how broken and inconsistent this process is right now.

Hi. The October State Department Statistics are out. There were quite a few K-1s processed across many embassies. Here is the link:

Congrats! We applied in Oct 2019, and had an appointment in April 14, 2020. It was cancelled (Nairobi Kenya), and we are still waiting to get another interview. Yes, COVID sucks big time.

Me too. My Fiance is in Kenya, and we are still waiting. Her original appointment was on April 14, 2020. We applied since October 2019. Will be very happy when she comes. At least we can be locked down together.
