04/25/07 Received Transfer Notice to VSC for I129F

06/25/07 Got notice in the email that they need more information for the I130 and that they sent me a letter in the mail (RFE)

06/26/07 Touched I130

07/05/07 Got the RFE in mail

07/06/07 Mailed out the evidence required in the RFE

07/12/07 My wife got the PCC done at her local Passport office :)

07/12/07 Touched I130 "Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed."

07/16/07 Touched I130

07/17/07 Touched I130

08/07/07 Called for RFE info. They said not yet, and will have something in the mail by 3-4 weeks :(

08/15/07 I130 Approved!!! Woo Hoo!!! Finally....

09/28/07 I129F Approved!!!

10/04/07 Oct 4th NVC Sent K3 Info. To The Consulate

Nov 1st Interview Date

Nov 6th VISA APPROVED! & in hand

Arrived in NJ on Nov 10th

Baby due date is January 8th!

Got e-mail today, that my I-129F was sent to Vermont from Chicago, is it good or bad?

Chicago is just a lockbox address for I-129F petitions for Spouse. Everything sent there ends up in either California or Vermont.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Got e-mail today, that my I-129F was sent to Vermont from Chicago, is it good or bad?

You are not the first one who is experiencing it. I don't think it is a bad sign or anything like that.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

For those who have not sent in their I-129F, remember that you are now supposed to send them directly to either the California or Vermont Service Center. You can see more info on the my posts about Direct Filing.

4/10/2008 - Received by embassy

4/11/2008 - Faxed packet 3 forms to embassy

4/30/2008 - Appointment date assigned

6/19/2008 - Appointment at Bogota Embassy - APPROVED!!!

No touches except when I called CSC directly to inquire.

8/28/2008 - POE Houston

Still being lazy and waiting to do AOS.

*I-130 and I-129F sent together to TSC per USCIS instructions.

According to the bulletin about direct filing...

USCIS will accept Forms I-129F, I-131, I-140, I-360, I-485, I-765 and I-907 filed with the new “Direct Filing†location in advance of the July 30, 2007 effective date, that are otherwise properly filed.
