This is just one of several similar articles I have seen, and yes the Dems were quite successful in keeping the Progressives quiet, but will soon have to pay the piper. Will be interesting to watching.

democrats and republicans both need to be torn down and replaced with something more representative of people

 

2018 was the first time i ever registered to a party so i could vote in primaries

So is she angling to create the anit-Squad?  Maybe a Party switch?  If the Dems are moving away from ones core values, what would be wrong with that, people do it all the time.  Besides, by her giving Trump any credit may limit her effectiveness within the Party of Hatred.  Full disclosure, this is my Congressperson, I voted for her in 2018 using my method of voting against incumbency, and I voted against her this year for the same reason.

You forgot to add that Democrats are all about identity politics.  I doubt the Trump effect will last more than one more election cycle, but it is clear that the GOP is a much more inclusive and less judgmental Party, they would do themselves a great service to continue some of the positions that Trump held which brought in support from the working class as well as much more minority support than any other GOP candidate has seen since the Democrats were tied to the KKK.  Trump did not lose because of his accomplishments which were many and far reaching, he lost due to the hatred narrative run by the Democrats and the State Media.  I am not saying he was not an accomplice in assisting them, his press conferences back in March/April alone probably lost him the election.  He learned too late, if at all, that it was better to do a press conference like he did last Friday where he took no questions from the media then to spar with the media on completely unrelated topics.

Yeah, I imagined I would, doesn't negate the actual evidence of which Party is moving to further restricting Constitutional rights, etc.  Take the time to read Glenn Greenwald's piece, it is telling.

There will be a civil war, it just won't be any time soon. For now, on the national scale, the left wing populists will be thrown out. No establishment will tolerate seeing grassroots rise to lead, case in point, the establishment reaction to Trump. Anyone left of party fanatic neoliberals were only useful to provoke into violence and trashing the country to get at others. They were never meant to lead anything. Of course, Dems keep kindling that marxist extremism on a local level, which is why its rise federally is inevitable.

 

Also, "tearing down the parties" (whatever that means) won't remove the problem. At some point people need a mirror to see where their problems lie.
