Visiting US while DQ’d at NVC

Hey guys,

We are new here!

Apologies if this has been asked before, but is it less likely to end up with a denial if my husband from Canada comes to stay with me for a few months during this COVID situation?

Our I-130 was approved in Feb 2020, and we were documentarily qualified by the NVC in early October 2020, just waiting for the interview now.

I’ve heard that applications to cross get scrutinized more with a pending I-130, just wasn’t sure if there was less scrutiny at this stage in the process.

He has a lengthy record of visits to the US, never overstaying once, we’ve been married over 2 years.

Thanks in advance!

Subject to normal entry requirements,  nothing is different

YMMV

For sure, I’ve read you can get extra scrutiny regarding immigrant intent with the pending I-130, does the extra scrutiny fade once you’re at the DQ’d stage?

Nothing fades

YMMV
