Finding phone records

If you chat often, Yahoo messenger have a save option, where you can print your instant messages history later on. Your fiancee can check with the phone company the sim card is associated to. I used to call my fiancee now wife with phone cards, i didn't over do it on the record but 2-3 times a month I would request a transcript of call made, all I had to do was to give them the pin numbers I have used and tell them it's for immigration purposes, then They send it out by mail. Nowadays some phone cards even have the records kept on their website so you can easily access those records in the future.

Gone but not Forgotten!

When my fiancee calls me from the Philz, she uses a pre-paid SIM card. When I call her, I use the Yahoo Messenger w/voice telephony. Does anyone know if there are records of these kinds of calls anywhere?

For the pre-paid sim cards we were using in Taiwan there was no record given to us, although I think having her call the provider and asking is worth a try. I'd imagine there would be. Sorry don't know about the yahoo, if you go with her to the interview I don't think they'll even ask for the records after seeing you two together. I went with my wife and the interview was extremely easy.

If you are actually calling your fiancee's phone then you are using the Yahoo! Voice Phone In/Out service and you can download all call history from http://www.voice.yahoo.com .. log into your account and click on the history tab I believe ..

by the way, you are doing it exactly opposite of the way I do it .. she calls my cell phone from her computer and I call her computer from my cell phone using yahoo! phone in/out service .. free for me to call her as long as I don't go over minutes, 1 cent per minute for her to call me .. to call her cell phone I use mobilecaller.com phone card because it is cheap, easy, and clear

if you are just using voicechat (pc to pc) then there is no record of calls .. Mylene and I took several screen shots of us chatting with each other and our kids using this service (the date and time is displayed on the webcam/message window showing the current connection), we also made screen shots of message archives, etc.

prepaid sim cards have no history as far as I know, but you can show them from your phone in or cell phone records as incoming calls.

good luck,

CB

yea i tried to get phone records from my international calling card, but they told me that due to customer privacy laws, an itemized list of calls was impossible to obtain without a court order...ridiculous, considering how i AM the customer

i did the best i could with this and printed out some cell phone bills, which show me dialing the 1-800 number several times a day for hours at a time...i then photocopied the actual card which shows the same 1-800 number printed on it...there are also incoming calls from my fiance's cell phone listed on the phone bills, hope that was enough proof =/

chat logs will definitely suffice

no problem...also...i dont know if you pay for the service you use to chat with you SO, but you can always print out bank statements if necessary...thats another thing that i did, which i left out in my previous post...bank statements showing many many many charges to that same international calling card...

dont forget tho...dont JUST rely on the chat logs...theyre good to have, but definitely copy your passport stamps/visas, plane tickets, bank statements with purchases in SO's country, photos of you two together, receipts receipts receipts, etc

=)

good luck!

You don't need phone records to file the I-129F. Don't spend time finding them. See below, from RFEs from USCIS. Later, you can use phone records at the interview, but they'll need to be from the time between filing and the interview to show anything worthwhile:

Submit evidence of meeting the meneficiary in person within the two-year period preceding the filing of the petiition. The primary evidence may include airline ticket stubs and receipts (that indicate month, day, and year), copies of passport pages taht show the identification page and admission stamps, military order(s), letter from Commanding Officer, or any evidence that will help the USCIS to determine that the petitioner has met the beneficiary within the two years. The secondary evidence may be film dated photographs of the petitioner and the beneficiary together. The following DOES NOT constitue evidence of meeting: disc, videos, emails, letters, phone bills, and greeting cards.

When u say u r calling her pc with your cell phone via yahoo phone, do u mean u r using the web browser on your cell phone to then access yahoo messenger and then make the phone call...? I'm not quite following u there... Currently I do call her cell phone using the yahoo messenger in/out, and I am making a record of that... I'm just wondering if it holds water since it's record is generated from my pc and can easily be phony (pardon the pun).
