Where can foreigners now stay in Ukraine?

I saw this image on the US Embassy website in Ukraine. Does this mean foreigners can’t visit Ukraine? Can I no longer rent an apartment there? What does “accommodation establishments” specifically refer to. It says hotels are an exception, but if I want to stay for a month, where does that leave me? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you, that’s a relief! I’m planning on going next month. Would renting an apartment be part of the ban on accommodation establishments?

It's all quite volatile right now.  Heard some rumors that there may be a ban for foreigners again soon.  The COVID-19 situation has been getting worse in Ukraine with over 11,000 new case today.  If you are traveling through Germany, a friend of ours who traveled on Lufthansa last week had to get a Covid-19 PCR test  within 72 hours of departure at a cost of $178.  I understand that you have a Russian fiance.  He will probably have more difficulty getting into Ukraine then you.

Dang, I had read fairly recently that the foreign minister had stated that he would not be in agreement with another ban on foreigners, due to its impact on the economy. Hopefully they won’t do it again. This is all madness in my opinion. I understand having concern for public health. But on the other hand, these continued intermittent lockdowns are destroying more lives than they’re saving. How do people make a living when the government can just keep coming in there and shutting them down? How do people get to see their loved ones? What about those living alone in isolation, struggling with extreme depression and emotional distress? Ugh, it’s a mess. Anyway, that’s the end of my rant lol. And scene! 😂

Well, many of us warned you it would be much easier to meet your fiancé in Turkey.  But you were adamant about meeting in Ukraine.  It will be what it will be.

Neither of us feel particularly comfortable traveling to Turkey. I have heard mixed reviews about the safety of the country.

We've been there a number of times.  My Ukrainian wife is more comfortable there than in Ukraine.  So that speaks volumes to me.
