The New Yorker  has fired reporter Jeffrey Toobin after an investigation into him exposing himself on a Zoom call.

The magazine’s top writer was suspended last month following the video call with colleagues.

Mr Toobin, 60, confirmed his firing on Twitter after 27 years with the magazine.

 

“I was fired today by @NewYorker after 27 years as a Staff Writer. I will always love the magazine, will miss my colleagues, and will look forward to reading their work,” he wrote.

I wonder what the small number of folks that watch CNN will be thinking when they see Toobin on the air?  Listening to the exchange between him and the anchor is simply cringeworthy.  I am all for second chances, but who at CNN decided it was best to bring him back and re-live the episode that put him on the sidelines in the first place.

Toobin, sporting a navy blue suit and a striped tie, responded by saying the masturbatory conduct was “deeply moronic and indefensible.”
