thinking about applying for AP

So...I applied for AOS in December and I was hoping I would get my greencard before I wanted to go back to Germany.

Now it seems to take longer than what I had hoped for and I am thinking about applying for AP.

I was thinking about filing in August because we want to go to Germany in December and I want to give it as much time as possible in case I get my greencard before that, but due to the increased fees after July 31 I guess I will apply before that date.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to file for only AP after the fees are getting up, or can you actually apply for only AP after that day or is it all combined now with EAD and AOS and you can't file separatly?

Thanks! I also called USCIS today and was told that it looks like my case is through and I should hear something at anytime now. "Something" is hopefully my approval notice!

I asked about the AP and the lady told me I shouldn't need it if I plan to go to Germany atthe end of the year, by then I should have my gc for sure.

No pending FBI namecheck either, so I should be fine!
