Hi everyone, I have applied for my adjustment of status concurrently with i-130.

My wife does not earn enough and is below the 125% poverty line. We are currently residing with my brother -in-law and hence have attached an i-864a, contract between household member and sponsor, to the application process. The application process is still pending but we are looking to change principal address away from my brother-in-law's place. How does this affect the i864a. Do we only need to notify USCIS about our change in address? Is the contract still valid?

Thank you for your time and help.

yes you always file AR-11 when your address changes as the applicant. Besides its not required that you have to live with your secondary sponsor.

To be safe, at interview you can also take joint sponsor (your brother-in-law) I-864.

Just to clarify, a household member as in my case is seen as a joint sponsor? If not, what type of sponsor would my brother-in-law be classified as?

After the move, he would no longer be a household member. That's why he should fill out I-864, just in case. This is because I-485 is still pending. The I-864 form(s) are not updated I-485 is approved.

Thank you so much!
