Question about I-134

I'm kind of confused as to what I should fill in regarding my income. This year (2020), not only did I change jobs but got a raise at my old job, so my tax transcript for tax year 2019 won't reflect that. So when I fill in my income, do I put in my new salary as quoted in my employment letter, or should I fill in the amount as reflected in my 2019 tax transcript.

Also, it asks for value of personal property, I added the value of my car as an estimate, but I don't have any supporting documents - should I leave that blank?

Finally, I've been told that I need a bank statement showing when I opened an account, the total deposited for the past year and the present balance signed by a bank officer. First, is this necessary? If so, can I simply ask my bank teller to obtain that information and sign it?

Thanks for any clarification you can provide.

  1. Use your current income. If your tax transcripts/returns don't reflect this (new job, major raise, etc.), include recent pay statements and/or your offer letter.
  2. Documenting assets is not required if your income is sufficient to qualify on income alone, though if it's close, it's better to.
  3. If you wish to use a bank account as a documented asset, you want what banks call "verification of deposits" for that account. At least at some banks, you can get this online (I know you can with Wells Fargo).
